The Momus Athenaeum

He had thought long on what to do with the athenaeum. He was starting to spend less and less time in the tending of the business and that was something which he did not want. It was not so much the business which he didn’t like to see go down… no, that was something that would not happen. It was the caring for the books, scrolls, and resources that were held within that bothered him.
It wasn’t as if they would be lost forever if they did indeed become moth eaten… he had the originals of all the sources in his personal library, as well as many things that were not here in this one. Yet still, the knowledge that was here needed to be kept, and in truth, passed on.
Thus, the meeting he would have later with Ms. Rena Cronin. He had gathered much information over the young woman since she had expressed an interest in a possible job working at the Athenaeum. She had previously worked for a book store, and did seem to express an interest in teaching. This is what intrigued him. Anyone could tend the keeping of books, but it took a different sort to teach as well.
He would soon see if she was this special sort, and if so, and if she took the position, he would then turn to Xeno and see about helping school his newest charge. But, that was something still a bit in advance.
Turning his thoughts from that line, he looked to the time. It would soon be time that Ms. Cronin would arrive. Giving a quick swipe of his hands, he cleared the desk of all paperwork, and watched to make sure that they all made their way to their proper places in the files. Giving a snap, he locked the cabinets and then stood. It would be a matter of moments to just displace to the first floor, but what kind of effect would that be? Turning, he started down the stairs that lead from the fourth floor.
