Notes from the Isle

October 27th - November 2nd

-Week 1 of 9-

ANNOUNCEMENTS: Friday night was a flurry of magical activity on the Isle. The Celestial Druids were busy casting their banishing spell during the Archmage Challenge between Colleen MacLeod and Doran Ilnaren. With the help of the spectators lending their strength as well, Twilight Isle was able to be rid of the nefarious Dark Hunter once and for all! When the dust settled, the challenger ascended to become the newest and 80th Archmage! Congratulations, Doran! Well reigned, Colleen! And thank you to everyone who took part in fighting off the Shadows of the October Moon!

The Tower of Fire is still in need of a Keeper, and the Wardens of the Isle are encouraging all interested spellcasters to sign up to compete. Only one will shine as Twilight Isle’s Brightest Flame at the end of this two week long tournament, running now until the end of regulation dueling on Saturday, November 16th! Get out there in the rings and show us how brightly you can burn with your magic slinging prowess!

Note: Amaris Silhaeven won the Earthwarden’s Ring on 9/22/24 in the Autumn All Ranks tournament. This awards the usage of Elemental Fury in regulation matches until the next All Ranks tournament.

AROUND THE CITY: Did you make it to Trick or Treat at the Pachinko Palace or the Arena on Halloween night? We saw a lot of clever and creative costumes strolling through the city this past week! After settling down from sugar highs, it sounds as if karaoke at the Red Dragon Inn with Tenball this past weekend was a big hit as well.

NEWS FROM OTHER VENUES: Aside from the aforementioned spooky season celebration, activity in the Arena remains at a standstill. Maybe it’s time to polish your weapons and get in the challenge game! There are eight incredible baronies to choose from! Any one of them could be yours!

October was an exciting month in the Outback, but now November is here and that opens the door to new challenge opportunities, too! Likely everyone will take a break from Opal hunting now, though, what with IFL 2024 getting ready to kick off for the season! There is only one more day to register your team, and there look to be some interesting new groups competing this year!

Cycle Ranks Through Week 1

Cycle rankings show how duelists perform over the course of the cycle, with the top performer earning the Ring of Klytus (provided they began the cycle below the rank of Mage). To balance percentage performance duelists are broken into 3 brackets based on number of duels fought, with top accolades achievable by only those in the upper tier. Duelists are ordered first by bracket, then by winning percentage, followed by the number of wins and lastly by low rank to high.
