October 6th - October 12th

ANNOUNCEMENTS: The Celestial Druids of Twilight Isle have been hard at work investigating the Shadows of the October Moon, and they have discovered many ways in which you can help push back against the darkness! Aside from getting in the rings and dueling to feed the mana wards, there are several spell components to be collected for an upcoming Warding Spell! Fill the Isle with love, light, and happiness (like the wedding we heard about) to help us fend off the Dark Hunter to come!

Trinity Siempre has got the right idea! Recently she issued a Challenge for the Tower of Water! All that magic that she and Keeper Droet are destined to stir up at a currently undetermined time is going to be a big help with infusing those mana wards! Stay tuned to the bulletins to find out when this will go down.

Don’t forget that the October 2024 Archmage Tournament is just around the corner, too! Early seeding sign ups continue through Friday of this week, and the spell slinging will commence on Sunday the 20th at 8:00 PM. Everyone who participates gets to take home a little slice of moonlight to call their very own. If you don’t want to compete, that’s okay! Come on out to cheer on your favorite competitor!

Note: Amaris Silhaeven won the Earthwarden’s Ring on 9/22/24 in the Autumn All Ranks tournament. This awards the usage of Elemental Fury in regulation matches until the next All Ranks tournament.

AROUND THE CITY: Have you heard about Lydia’s Sizzling Sunday Slammer? There was plenty of good food and great company for everyone who was present! Rumor has it there were some friendly competitions in store for those who like to gamble, too. Sounds like it was a wonderful way to unwind for the week!

NEWS FROM OTHER VENUES: Diamond Quest CXIX kicks off tonight at 8:00 PM over in the Outback! Will the current top titleholder manage to shine on, or will someone else walk away with the Black Diamond in their grasp? It’s not too late to participate! Walk ins are welcome, but don’t show up any later than five past the hour if you want take your shot!

We are still eagerly awaiting news on when the Challenge for PathFinder will go down between Rel and Droet. The Outback is going to be a busy place these next few weeks, because Sal Delahada has also issued his third Challenge for IceDancer to everybody’s favorite masochistic fashionista Koyliak VanDuran-Simon! Stay tuned to find out more about these challenges as they develop!

Things have been quiet over in the Arena ever since Eregor became the 132nd Overlord of the Duel of Swords, but it’s a new cycle for them this week. The new Wardens of Overlook and Lakeside have been appointed! Congratulations to Mairead Harker and Gillette Brooke, respectively! Enjoy your new and recurring digs, ladies!

Cycle Ranks Through Week 7

Cycle rankings show how duelists perform over the course of the cycle, with the top performer earning the Ring of Klytus (provided they began the cycle below the rank of Mage). To balance percentage performance duelists are broken into 3 brackets based on number of duels fought, with top accolades achievable by only those in the upper tier. Duelists are ordered first by bracket, then by winning percentage, followed by the number of wins and lastly by low rank to high.
