Notes from the Isle

ANNOUNCEMENTS: Last Sunday night the Summer 2024 All Ranks MEGACAST tournament was hosted on the Isle! Eight eager duelists of varying rank entered and it was Mage Emeritus Mairead Harker who was the last spellcaster standing, choosing as her prize to take home the adorable Firefly Drake! Congratulations, Maggie! Second place finisher, Gatito Lindo, claimed the prize of the Pyroclast’s Gauntlet, allowing him mastery of fire just like the Keeper of the key for a full cycle! All who participated took home one of many phenomenal prizes themselves! Thanks for joining in the fun!

Dueling enthusiast and motivated Mage Gillette Brooke has issued her first challenge to Keeper Droet the Bold for the Tower of Water! This challenge has been validated, and we await the Keeper’s acceptance. Stay tuned to the news for more details on this as it develops! Maybe they’ll incorporate some crowd cooling water canons to help us stave off this summer heat!

Finally, the Archmage Challenge between myself (Dris) and Archmage Rachael Blackthorne was postponed a week due to unforeseen circumstances. Now moving into July, come see us metaphysically battle each other on the Isle this coming Wednesday the 3rd! The same delicious menu awaits all our adoring fans and spectators! Hope to see you there!

Note: Gatito Lindo won the Pyroclast’s Gauntlet on 6/23/24 in the Summer All Ranks tournament. This awards the usage of Elemental Fury in regulation matches until the next All Ranks tournament.

Rhy’Din is ready for summer barbecues and an abundance of food trucks! Mark your calendars for the Taste of Rhy’Din, coming July 21st through the 27th! Experience all of the city’s cultural cuisine, and more! Your taste buds and stomachs will thank you!

NEWS FROM OTHER VENUES: The Outback has announced the upcoming Diamond Quest XCVIII, scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 13th starting at 8:00 PM! Sign ups have begun! Get your name on the list to be a contender for the top title of the sport! The Black Diamond can only be yours if you participate and punch your way to glory!

The Arena has been awash with activity this past week! Both the Overlord, Abby Fenner, and the new Baron of Cadentia, Ebon Ilnaren, have adopted themselves some squires! Congratulations to both Hailey and Julia Winters! Both the challenges for Dockside and Seaside were concluded, with only one changing of the guard! While Herne defended Wednesday night, on Friday night Droet the Bold was sent packing by young Squire of Dragon’s Gate Nikolai Aristotle Vevea-Allen who became the new Baron! Congratulations, Nikolai! 

But wait! That’s not all! Ebon Ilnaren has also made history as the first Baron to enact the Right of Conquest with a Challenge for Old Market that puts his own newly acquired barony on the line! Will he be able to oust old man Matt Simon from his seat and be the first baron ever to hold two rings at once? Or will his gamble have him lose it all and award that honor to his target instead? Wait and see!
