Notes from the Isle

ANNOUNCEMENTS: It’s been a busy challenge week where we finished off challenges for all four of the elemental Towers! Last week saw Morgan defending the Tower of Water of course, but this week our remaining Keepers all defended as well! So let’s extend a big congratulations to Rachael, Andrea and Anya for holding on to Fire, Air and Earth respectively! All the matches were quite the show, and everyone who came out got to see Tartarus, Aneomi and Titan! Very inspiring! And in case you’re disappointed that you didn’t get a chance to challenge, Keeper of Air Andrea has waived grace and is looking for you to challenge her! Visit the cork boards today!

Tonight is the Summer All Rank’s Tournament on the Isle, and we’re helping kick of Taste of Rhydin week with a tasty potluck! There’s still time to sign up for the tournament, and if you’re hungry then feel free to come for the food! The Isle always has something good to eat, and the food is set to impress with all the talented chefs in town!

NEWS FROM OTHER VENUES: In the Arena, there were quite a few challenges this week, and two baronies looked to change hands! Salvador and Ettyn looked to have a bloody match that ended with Salvador taking control of Old Market. On the same night, Hope defended the Overlord title against Baron of Old Temple, Suturi. That makes 8 defenses so far which is pretty impressive! The next night Jaycy defended Seaside from Amaris, even after the teenager bested Hope in the Overlord’s test. Also on Monday night was the challenge for Dockside, but the Overlord wasn’t involved in this one and Baron Morgan Chae opted for a single match which he defended his barony from Karma. Moving to Friday, we found Suturi retiring Old Temple (hopefully this will be going to the All Rank’s Tournament Prize pot on Saturday, June 26), and then the challenge for Cadentia between Baron Lilith and Warden of Overlook Yuzuki! Lilith decided to let Yuzuki pick the format, and she went with a best of three before besting the Triple Crown in two straight matches. This marks the first barony for Yuzuki, so congratulations!

In the Outback, Karma and Rachael were set to fight this past Wednesday after their fiery challenge on the Isle on Tuesday. And it was a hot one, which was no surprise to any of the spectators! Coming off of her hot streak on Tuesday night, Rachael wrestled the red rock FireStar from Karma’s grasp and became the newest PyroMaster! Congratulations Rachael! On the other end of the elemental spectrum, Keeper of Water, Captain Morgan has challenged IceDancer’s holder, the Masochistic Fashionista herself, Koy, to hold the rock sometimes dubbed as “beer cooler”. Please look forward to this fashionable fight when it comes up! This week Eden also gave out her grant to her mentee, Dakota Street and she turned around and soon challenged Mallory for PathFinder! Dakota thinks the name is the least scary, and I can’t fault her there, but also knowing Mallory it’ll be a fun fight to watch when it happens!
