Notes from the Isle

ANNOUNCEMENTS: We’ve got a Tower of Water challenge, where Michelle wants to tie up some old business of hers, and Keeper Captain Morgan’s happy to face her when he returns as per his rather water logged note. What a great way to splash our way into the Summer Months with a Watery Challenge coming up! Don your swimwear and join the stands once a date and time is set to watch this one!

The Summer All Rank’s Tournament has been announced! On top of all the hot prizes we’ve got in store for our casters, we’ll be hosting a Summer Potluck that same night too! We’ve got a summer grilled menu planned, but we’ll have plenty of table space for you, our community to bring dishes to share with everyone! It’s a great opportunity to show off your cooking skills or even catch sneak peaks of what the Taste of RhyDin will have in store when it comes up soon!

It is Pride Month and our Duel of Magic Staff wants to remind everyone that Love is Love and we welcome all who want to express that either via a wedding at our Twilight Pavilion or any inclusive event that you may be wishing to hold on our beautiful Isle. The Rainbow Road is beautiful in RhyDin and we encourage everyone to enjoy the events this week in the city!

Note: Haru Jeong won the Elemental Fury Tome on 3/14/2021 in the Spring All Ranks tournament. This awards the usage of Elemental Fury in regulation matches until the next All Ranks tournament. Helea Alwin won a Ragnarok Infused Magic Orb on 3/14/2021 in the Spring All Ranks tournament. This awards the use of a Mage Spell in regulation matches until the next All Ranks tournament. Helea selected Nether Ray.

NEWS FROM OTHER VENUES: In the Arena, several challenges were issued this week! Could certain warlords be looking to relocate to any hot spot districts this season? Will any change hands or will the Barons all defend? Amaris, ready for summer now that school is out challenged Jaycy for Seaside! She may be eager to spend the summer on the beach! That’s always fun! Then came Caleb with a challenge for Matt and Battlefield Park. Who knows what he may have planned, or maybe its to attempt to get the barony for Karma and they can throw a party! That same night though, Karma issued a challenge to Morgan “Worst” Chae for Dockside. I bet the Warehouse would make a great place for a party! Remember a few years ago when Trash drummer, Misery was the baron there? And the Band threw some killer parties. Let’s bring those back! Later in the week, a cute Duck challenged Ettyn for Old Market, but the “fine print” shows that it’s not a duck, its Salvador! They’ll actually be meeting up Sunday, June 13th in the Arena so come out and see if a duck shows up with Sal! Stay tuned to the cork to follow along and see what happens in Seaside, Battlefield Park, Dockside and Old Market!

In the Outback, rumor has it that Koy, the Masochistic Fashionista herself, was spotted (technically in the Arcade on Saturday night) in a fists match sparring off with former Governor, Ebon Ilnaren. Ebon looked to have Koy on the ropes, but she’s a stylish comeback artist who soon froze him out of a win. After an uppercut from Koy in the sixth round, she climbed out of the hole and won 5 to 4 in 11! They both left with smiles on their faces though, and sources tell me that its Ebon’s initials on several of the pinball machines with the highest scores! Impressive all around!
