Just to help prepare you for what is coming some ideas I came up with. Be creative and have fun with it, what would work best for your character and their techniques.
Circular parry could mean when you are whipping or mixing ingredients.
disengage letting the bread dough rest
Duck could be depending on how tall a player is could be going down low to put something in the oven.
high cut could be your knife skills
low cut could be chopping
lateral parry could be filleting
stop hit knowing when to pull something from the fire
slash could be
side step could be avoiding a collision with the other chef?
thrust could be HERE TRY IT! especially if it wins the match
If you win the match before you get all the recipe steps done it's assumed you finished with the best of the dishes

I've been told I'm not bad in the kitchen. I'll give this a go.

What a flavorful night we had on Friday, the 19th of August! We had five seasoned and not-so-seasoned chefs.
The event was held in the park’s industrial kitchen, with some bales of hay from the hay market for spectators to relax on while they enjoyed the wafting scents and culinary skills of the contestants.
The night started with chef Autumn against chef Jia, who displayed their knife skills were during the first round. One focused on meats, while the other, their vegetables. After eight rounds, they presented two amazing dishes to Anya and Amaris, the judges for the night. Anya tried to keep Autumns dish to herself by claiming it used wine, but Amaris had a bit of cooking knowledge and countered by pointing out that the alcohol cooks off, much to Anya’s disappointment.
Jia created a homestyle cream sauce over chicken and vegetables.
Autumn served up braised veal bites in wine.
While both are amazing chefs, sometimes simple is best, and Jia took the first match. However, this was a double elimination match, so they’d be back with another dish.
Next up was Jia against Salvador and Gatito against Ebon. Both sets of chefs knew their way around the kitchen and set about creating their dishes. The amazing scents of rice, bacon, garlic and cinnamon wafted around the kitchen as spectators watched.
Salvador prepared a sausage with mongetes, or white beans, while Jia placed before the judges a teriyaki rice and vegetable dish. Jia was just a little too simple though in this round, and Salvador took the win.
Meanwhile, Ebon and Gatito cooked up a storm. In the end, Ebon presented a dish of beef and peppers topped with bacon dish, and Gatito went with an eggplant tagine over couscous. Once again, the judges were presented with amazing dishes. After sampling and conferring, Ebon took the round.
Next, we had Sal against Ebon and Gatito against Autumn.
Each chef brought an amazing dish of asparagus. Just don’t ask Amaris if she’d eat asparagus any other way… the answer would be no. Sal presented sautéed asparagus, while Ebon brought cheesy baked asparagus coupled with a honey garlic glazed salmon. However, the two dishes put together still couldn’t withstand Sal’s sauté and he took the round.
Gatito brought a sage lamb kofta with a cucumber yogurt sauce, and Autumn brought sixteen mugs of brownies: one for each of the judges and more for others to sample. Gatito won that round, though chocolate always makes it hard to decide.
Next came Jia and Gatito. Jia created a lovely milkshake - one of Amaris’ weaknesses - but Gatito stole that love with his Moroccan Honey and almond cigars, sooo good.
The next round was Ebon facing off against Gatito. Ebon served a winningly light Waldorf salad against Gatito’s Moroccan apple pie with an amazing honey-vanilla ice cream. Both were amazing, but Ebon still took the match.
Next. Ebon and Sal squared off again. Ebon presented Pan-fried garlic squash, while Sal brought a plate of waffles, fruit, and whipped cream. Ebon took this match, but Anya reminded everyone: "Ebon wins this round, which means we have one more to go, since Sal hadn't been defeated prior to this. We are going with a double elimination format. Ebon needs to win two in a row." In the end, Sal took this match, presenting peach and tomato caprese salad while Ebon brought an enchanting spaghetti dish with garlic bread.
Sal won the baronial challenge grant, but since there were many prizes available, he also selected the knife and skillet sets with the fairy safe metals. Next, Ebon selected a weapon from Battlefield Park’s armory. Gatito selected the electric free Kitchen Aid, and Jia was granted the spear as squire to Amaris. Jia has one more prize to select, as does Autumn. The offering of prizes was so generous that everyone that participated received at least one prize from the cooking items.
