Backstage - The OOC Thread

Hello and welcome to our little corner of Rhy'Din!

We thought it was time to request a folder, so we can keep everything together in one place. We'll be adding more threads to this board as we go, with the intention of mirroring the board at the RDI. We will continue cross-posting shows for now, so we can accommodate both RoH and RDI players/characters, as there are some who only post exclusively here or there.

Now that we have a board, feel free to post for your characters here. All we ask is that you respect the setting and the other players/characters who participate in the theater. NPC'd characters are mostly handled by Mataya and myself, but feel free to borrow or mention them from time to time, if you so desire.

We will be posting more information about the theater here in the next few days, but if anyone has any questions, feel free to drop us a line via PM or post.

Thank you for reading and thanks to everyone for supporting our little project. Many thanks to Mataya's player for creating the Shanachie way back in 2010. Also, thanks to everyone at RoH who've been so supportive and encouraging and to all the players who've participated in the theater throughout the years. We would not still be doing this if it was not for all of you.

This is the official OOC thread, so feel free to use it as such. You all know what to do. And as Mataya likes to say, remember to have fun with it! :)

Woohoo!

Sets out some house-warming plants and decorations.

Tippletoe *loves* the theatre! Feel free to vapour the little gnome running around cheerfully or playing her fiddle in the background or hanging out with the Shanachie STARS between practices!

Tippletoe loves being part of the Shanachie! You can often find her performing, supporting other performers, or putting on a cast party.

Since Tippletoe also hosts at The Arena, she always has an understudy take over her performances on that night. The understudy is normally Renee Russell, with Evelyn Little on occasion.

It was super cool to read Tony's Who Am I post. Asher's been in the Shanachie's orbit for some time but I haven't had a ton of chance to get to know a lot of the other chars around here, so this was really cool insight into who he is as a character.

Thanks, Asher! It was a lot of fun to write that up. I've been thinking about creating a thread like that for the Shanachie, but I'm not sure it's necessary. Also, I've been trying to think of some ways we could get the characters to mingle and get better acquainted via the boards, but I'm open to ideas! :)

Hi, everyone! As some of you may or may not know, on 12/19, I had a bad fall and was admitted to the hospital for emergency surgery due to a broken hip. I am home now and slowly on the mend, but needless to say, I probably won't be around much for at least a few weeks in order to recover and regain my strength.

Unfortunately, this happened before I had a chance to add details to the Holiday Party thread, but if anyone feels the desire to post, please do so anyway. I'm sure you will all do fine without my having to add more details to the thread. Thanks so much for bearing with me during this difficult time, and let's all hope that 2021 is a better year. Stay safe and take care of each other!

~D

Thanks, Josette! Doing a little better everyday. And thoroughly enjoying reading everyone's posts, when I can manage to sit at the computer for a little while. :)

As I told you privately, I hope all goes well with your recovery. If the Physical Therapy feels wrong, get them to adjust it to something that works for you. XXOO
