Saori Maeda and Mai Sato will be wed at the Moon Glow Shrine in Old Temple on Saturday, July 13th at 2 pm in time with the first Rhydin moonrise of the day, and will be followed by food, drink and reception at Golden Park Towers in New Haven immediately after. Transportation by Mai’s fellow Drift Queen Members will be provided as needed.
Since the event was a Takamine wedding – we mean, a Maeda and Sato wedding, no expense was spared for the big day, and the wedding planner made certain both the shrine and reception location was ostentatiously decorated. Flowers were everywhere, and the entire wedding party had to look perfect. The shrine was even flooded for when Saori would be walking down the aisle, where she looked like a gilded white butterfly fluttering over the moonlit path to find her counterpart dressed in black.
The brides’ respective wedding parties were dressed in attire both black and white, and the young (affectionately named) “mini-Lisa” Takamine, Izumi and Na-Rae’s daughter was dressed in a smaller version of the same Tsukuyomi inspired gown (age appropriate of course) as she moved down the aisle as ring bearer. The elder (but don’t call her that) Lisa Takamine looked on over the wedding ceremony from a balcony above, keeping a watchful eye that everyone behaved accordingly to her plans. You can be certain that should anything not go accordingly, fierce actions would be taken. Lisa had no toleration for something potentially souring her – we mean Mai and Saori’s big day.
