As summer comes to a close, Lucy is hosting an Endless Summer Party at her beach house in Seaside!

On Saturday, September 10th, come over to Lucy's to squeeze the very last bits of beach fun out of summer!

The Beach House



The house is located up on the cliffs of Seaside, set back on a large patch of green lawn and surrounded by lush trees and foliage that provide privacy while overlooking the Rhy'din coast. The two story house is in a New England style with white trim, comfortably and elegantly furnished in cool, light colors. Through the front door, guests are guided towards the back of the house where a sitting area, a dining room, and the kitchen share an open floor plan. The walls are peppered with original art, as well as vintage black and white photographs of '50s and '60s era Earth surf culture.

Sunlight and cool breezes fill the indoor space from multiple french doors that are left open onto the porch. The porch wraps all the way around the side of the house, looks out onto the back lawn and the ocean beyond, and offers plenty of seating including large porch swings, and comfortable outdoor couches and lounges.

Party staff gently guides stray guests from trying to go upstairs and instead guides them to any one of the three downstairs bathrooms, or the the guest bedroom or study if they are looking for quiet. Those seeking to rinse off the salt and sand after spending time on the beach are guided to the outdoor shower at the side of the house that leads into one of the guest bathrooms.

The Beach

Like the porch, the large lawn is also peppered with plenty of comfortable seating and sun-soaking options, and stretches towards the cliff where guests can find the beach stairs. The wooden beach stairs are a little bit steep, and snake down to the private beach below.

The beach is situated within a small rocky cove with bright, clear blue water and modest waves. It's a perfect swimming beach and protected from the heaviest of ocean wind. It's not much of a surf beach however, but determined surfers can paddle just around the edge of the cove to find their way clear of the rocks and good waves.

There is plenty of room on the sand for relaxation and play. Extra lounge chairs, blankets, and outdoor cushions are available for party-goers to make themselves comfortable.

The Party

Outdoor speakers dot the property from the house to the beach playing upbeat music the whole day beginning just before noon when the party begins. Changing tents are set up on the lawn for anyone who needs to change in or out of their swimwear. Next to the changing tents and at the top of the beach stairs there are baskets of extra beach towels, sunscreen, flip-flops, and cold water bottles for anyone who has forgotten a beach party essential. Beach umbrellas are also available for anyone looking to set themselves up with some shade.

As the sun goes down, a bonfire is lit on the sand and guests are welcome to stay and enjoy refreshments as long as they like.

Refreshments

A fully tended bar is set up on the lawn throughout the day and into the evening. In addition to offering the usual drinks, featured summer cocktails are circulated throughout the day.



While the bar is located on the lawn, multiple ice tubs offer beer, water, and sodas down on the beach so beach-goers don't have to climb the stairs for a refreshment.

Appetizers are regularly circulated up and down the stairs, however, so beach-goers can enjoy small bites as the day goes on.



For a more satisfying meal to keep you enjoying your day, Lucy has arranged for Fin's favorite taco truck to provide fresh, made-to-order tacos throughout the day. Set up on the lawn across from the bar, the truck features homemade corn tortillas and carnitas, grilled shrimp, and mahi mahi tacos. A taco bar allows party-goers to top their tacos however they like. Sadly, you will have to leave the beach for tacos.

There is no invite list to this party---everyone is invited! Lucy will be texting everyone on her phone about the party and inviting them to bring their friends. If she has a reason to have your character's number, they were invited. Friend of a friend of a friend? Come to the party!

Lucy's survival plan for her own party had been to let the staff take care of everything while she laid low on a lounge chair. But as soon as the familiar faces of her friends arrived (and she'd indulged in a cocktail or two) she found herself getting into the party spirit in a way she hadn't expected.

Throughout the day she drank, lounged, and soaked up the sun with the girl pack of Kate, Hope, Duci, Josette, Jewell, Eless, Peaches, and Thorn, trying to catch up on all the things that the ladies had been keeping busy with over the summer. Her lounge chair had a good view of the volleyball net where she cheered on Hope, Mesteno, Ketch, and Cianan once the playing began (and she certainly tried to hide her laugh if Cianan was nailed by a spike from Mesteno). She spotted Malena among the unfamiliar faces, but she slipped away before Lucy had a chance to introduce herself and so she made a mental note to do so at the first opportunity. She was also happy to see someone making use of the beach for surfing, watching as Bailey paddled out beyond the rocks.

Was that a horse on the beach? Lucy laughed and shook her head when Star came down to join the festivities. But it meant that Ben wasn't far behind and she was happy to see him there, exchanging a warm hug with him, and then retaking her lounge to watch sexy beach running.

She was as enamored with Liath as Mesteno seemed to be, and was happy to catch up with Mesteno while playing with the happy-go-lucky dog. She made no mention of the ghost who had been her constant companion for so long, but not a trace of Reginald remained. She also made a special effort to sit with Cris for a time, and quietly informed a member of the catering staff that she was to make sure he had everything he needed for as long as he was at the party.

Lucy was surprised by, but graciously received all of the hostess gifts that came her way. She appreciated the thoughtfulness of the various gifts, especially the gin and limes that Aric had brought from he and Lirssa, the champagne from Duci, the lovely ros� that came with Josette, and the chocolates and perfume from Eless. One of Cianan's bottles of wine was opened by the bartender after the sun went down, while another was held back for Lucy's private use. Ketch's gift earned him an extra tight hug before it was sent with staff to be carefully put away in the house for later listening.

By the time the dancing began, Lucy had downed enough cocktails that Thorn didn't need to work too hard to get her to join her, dancing with her and Josette and Fin (and surely Salome joined them?), and anyone else who was enjoying the music on the sand.

There were times throughout the day that Lucy needed a break, and she disappeared without warning up the beach stairs and into the house. By the time the sun went down, she had changed out of her swimsuit and into fresh clothes, and sat near Fin in front of the bonfire to enjoy his guitar-playing.
