10-02-2014 Rule Update and SOA

October 2, 2014 will see new rules coming to Duel of Swords. Those of you who have gained SOA might be wondering, "What will happen to the SOA I have gathered throughout the Summer Cycle? Can I still use them in the Fall Cycle?".

The answer is: No. With the coming of Challenge Rights, SOA will be cleared once the new cycle begins. They can no longer be used to issue challenges.

If you have SOA and would like to see it put to good use, please consider challenging within this month or before the 2nd of this coming October.

"What if I use my SOA in September and the Baron and I can't fight our challenge until after October 2nd?" is a question I believe many could be wondering about.

Any challenges issued with SOA before October 2nd will not count against challenge rights in the next cycle as they were issued before the new rules went into effect. Even if the challenge takes place and is completed after October the 2nd.
