Xenograg Division: Chris Graziano vs. Magnus Eques

First Round: Chris defeated Ulath ni'Fici with a decent win of 8 votes to 3, taking a strong lead to start with and never looking back: Ulath's years and years of inactivity may have come back to haunt him in the voting. On the other hand, it doesn't seem to have hurt Siera Redwin, and Chris's dueling skill is undeniable...Ulath may have just had the misfortune to draw a particularly tough first round matchup.

Magnus Eques garnered the second highest vote tally of the Xenograg Division, at 12 points to the 3 points scored by Ekth "E" Smith. Once again, as in Tarl Cabot vs. Dexter Montoya, we had a case of fantasy revenge for a real-life loss of a Baronial ring. I asked the question of whether or not Magnus could avenge the loss, or if "E" had his number...voters pretty decisively decided in favor of the former. As one person told me...it's true that by the time of the Ekth challenge, Magnus's dueling career was nearing it's end.

Past History: Absolutely none...which makes deciding who would win harder, but also makes it a very tantalizing matchup!

"Common Links" in Challenge and Tournament Duels: Chris lost to Topaz in an unsuccessful challenge for the 8th/Dragon's Gate Ring; Magnus defeated Topaz to win the Thirteenth Ring for the third time. Chris lost to Horatio Benvolio MacBeth in the second round of the 2007 DoS Madness(Athlstan Division), Magnus lost to MacBeth in an unsuccessful challenge for the 1st/Old Temple Ring several months later in what may have been Magnus Eques's final DoS challenge duel.
