As a matter of fact, a delegation from Rhydin had indeed inquired with Etherean about the use of his services in the event of another dragon attack, but they had balked when he had presented them with an estimate of the charges for his involvement. Upon seeing the figure, one official had even dared to go so far as to accuse him of running a protection racket, and inferred that the dragon's presence was his fault.

Needless to say, the transmogrification would wear off given time. Etherean had then gone on to remind the rest of the delegation that baseless accusations are unfruitful, and that Twilight Isle is beyond their sphere of influence. If they wished to conduct further negotiations at a future date, he would be more than willing to supply them with an updated estimate.
