Missed Shift

I apologize for missing my shift Monday night, but my daughter fell while playing and cut her face. It wasn't a big cut, but we took her to the ER so they could glue it up and keep the scarring to a minimum. I'm jealous, though, because she got to pick out a prize when they were done. When I had to go into the ER because my daughter scratched my eye, I didn't get any prizes. I did get a prescription for painkillers, which some people might consider a prize, but that wasn't any consolation.
