> Use your feminine wiles.
Your what? You're not even sure what those are.
> Kiss the guard!
He really isn't your type.
> Fake a heart attack.
You writhe around on the ground for several minutes without results.

From this point on, we can get "game over". Which means we tried to do something and it didn't work, so we just rewind and try again.
In this particular instance, give me all the ideas you want to try and defeat the guard, good, bad, or otherwise, and we'll try all of 'em!

You guys know you can immediately start submitting commands whenever I post in the story thread, right?

So that was the first real "boss fight" of the story. Like Problem Sleuth did, I'm letting the video game influences become more visible in more use of the "mechanics" of the "game".
Did you guys enjoy reading that update? I know I may be laying on the game influences a bit thick, so if you're not a fan, I can dial it down for future updates.

So, I'm posting here to brag about Candy Hart and Napoleon Bonarat, who sent Ellie some awesome commands while she was in chat tonight. Thanks to their combined efforts (they didn't know they were combining, but they were), I got a spark of inspiration and came up with the perfect way to end what will be the most important fight in the entire story. Just to tease you... thanks to them, I have now devised the happy ending to the Ellie vs. Serge fight that Brutus and Pixie foresaw.
Such is the vast benefit of sending our adorable heroine commands! We're writing this story together! Who knows what I may be inspired to have occur by the zany suggestions I get? Heck, we're writing the story even when we're not writing the story, thanks to the gracious volunteers who interact with Ellie in live play! In case it hasn't been clear, player-submitted commands in live play appear in italics.
Since this event is now central to the plot, I will post it up during the intermission between Act 2 (where we are now: the jailbreak) and Act 3 (what happens after Ellie is free, and after the training she is currently doing in the duels). But we can't get through Act 2 without your help!
In conclusion, thanks to everyone who has been sending Ellie commands in live chat! Please continue to do so; I'm having a lot of fun here, and I hope you all are too!

Are we still open to post actions for following the current post?

Yes, absolutely. In fact, that's what I'm waiting on.
