The Second Gift
The brightly wrapped package was delivered in the dark hours of night. It sat upon the table beside the first, only this name tag, again written in Japanese brush stroke was addressed to Dimitri.
It was longer, narrow, almost looking like a box of long stemmed roses.
The deliverer smiled behind the porcelain mask and vanished into the darkness.
The severed arm within also began to leak through the gaily colored packaging.

Rakeesh Sah Tarna had found the packages left in the Guild that morning after he left his chamber. His Paladin nature let him sense what was inside. The Liontaur's eyes turned sad, and his hardened stomach quivered.
Of course, he could not let Sylus and Dimitri see these packages - they would, undoubtedly, be shocked and hurt. Rakeesh had relied on his young guildmembers for far too long - it was time to take matters into his own hands. He took the packages to his chamber, then kneeled before the Idol of Sekhmet that stood behind a small altar in a corner of the chamber.
Rakeesh Sah Tarna then closed his eyes and prayed for knowledge, wisdom, and Strength. After his prayer was finished, he unwrapped Soulforge from its cleaning cloth, and strapped it to his back.
