This challenge happened tonight!
Matt Simon challenged to press his bid to become the new holder of MoonBeryl! Jaycy was looking for her second defense after a full year of holding the yellow opal!
Things got under way in short order! In the first fight, Matt got himself on the board and wouldn't let Jaycy get a shot in edgewise! Undefeated in the current IFL season, his momentum was blazing hot!
FINAL: Goldglo def. Jaycy Ashleana, 5 - 0 in 6 rounds.
In the second match, Matt started off strong again, but this time Jaycy was determined to get her shots in! She fought back, connecting once and then twice, until she tied things up at 3 in the 8th round! She was the first to match point this fight, but could not stop Matt from equalizing! After two sudden death rounds, Jaycy found her solution and picked up her first win of the night!
FINAL: Jaycy Ashleana def. Goldglo, 6 - 5 in 12 rounds.
Powering on, Matt was definitely showing the limits of his endurance, but once again, he was the first on the board, and first to pick up an early lead. Jaycy tried to shift the momentum back in her direction, but Matt could not be stopped. With his iconic spinning backhand, Matt picked up the win and his opal!
