A patterned blue yukata over white with a white obi appealed to Ciarth's style, and so he picked one up during a visit to Jusco.

Someone may have suggested that Taiko wear a yukata with flowers on it, "like cherry blossoms," instead of her usual haori with clashing swords or creatures fighting. She took the advice and showed up to the festival wearing this:

The bold red and gold letters on black that declared "cherry blossoms" over and over where what they had meant, right?

Tippletoe has been looking for Tanabata for weeks! Given the size of the gnome, she ended up looking in the young girls' section for a Yukata. Eventually, she found one in the perfect colour.

Bailey's yukata for Tanabata, and the Tanabata event at the Arena on July 9.

Of course Saturdays were a busy day with the summer concert so close, but Hanami Harmony was happy to send Yuina along with some of the other girls to enjoy the festival and to get some show footage of Yuina helping out her cousin Hana with some of the game stalls sponsored by the Zama Shrine. The yukata she picked was a bit more of a spring pattern, but given the mild weather so far Yuina felt it suited the occasion.

Never one to miss out, even with the shipping mishap that may have left him without the chosen yukata, he managed to salvage a haori and put it alongside a plain undershirt and a pair of shorts with brand new sneakers: as to not stand out against the lavish top he had found.

Akarui had put off getting a Yukata until it was too late. With little money and even less time, he made his way into Sunny Mart South to purchase one. Of course, the only thing within his budget was cheaply made and even worse, cheaply fitted but it would do. Thankfully the rather inexpensive materials were surprisingly breathable, making it nice and light for the heat of the summer day to come.

Being rather skilled at festival games meant that Reira could be seen sometime during the night attempting to make Tomo put on the tengu mask that she won; all while sporting a kitsune mask for herself. The Rappapa club room will also have a good many goldfish in a new fishing tank come Monday.

Nako was shopping indecisively until the last moment, but finally found just the right yukata to her preference the very morning of the festival.

While the habu was always on duty, and keeping an eye on the crowds for any trouble that might come up she still had plenty of time to relax and enjoy some games. She also had time to enjoy a huge quantity of festival food. Just in case trouble did come up, she wore a haori that was practical and easy to move in while keeping some tradition for the style of Tanabata.

While her Shinsengumi duties of guarding and protecting the Zama Shrine kept her close to the sacred grounds, Yuki still made sure to pick out a yukata to wear to feel a part of the spirit of the festival. During quieter intervals she had time to enjoy a few of the games nearest to the shrine gates and would make sure to find a good spot to enjoy the fireworks show with Hana.

Shelby drove up from Brno Beach late in the afternoon, with enough time to grab a haori and a few other supplies from JUSCO (“Wow! They have everything!”) and found a place to park her Bronco inside the perimeter of neighborhood patrols. She took a free plate of watermelon from one of the first games of suikawari and sent a simple message,

by the watermelons

and ate while she waited.

Principal Kubo was working part of the evening in her office at KSCS but made it out for the latter part of the festival! She spent a great deal of time and coins before she managed to win a few goldfish, and proved to be a serious contender at the suikawari games as well. Appropriately enough her yukata featured flying white cranes.

Finishing up her run at the Shanachie Theater's Summer Gala, Pearl joined Velen at the festival in a pastel colored yukata.

Maggie also wrapped up at the Shanachie Theater's Summer Gala before coming out. In one of shops, she found a dragon and eagle print yukata to wear.
