Proof of Hunt Completion
Silver Mark, Giant Rats

Royal
And she's sludging out from the tunnel ways.. Muddy, rat blood, all that stuff. She had done this before, but she was back at it again it seems. The giant rat tails ( some of them still wriggling ) were safely within a pouch slung over her shoulder. Hair a complete mess.. with mud and, yeah, all up in it.

Proof of Hunt Completion
Bronze Mark, Ice Spider Lily

"In darkness blooms the spider lily.." Muttering to herself as she's crouched down (or squatting down) in front of a bush; a bush with a hint of an icy aura coming from deep inside of it. Squinting saw her getting a hint of the hazy blue, which told her that - yup - that had to be it. But how would she go about getting this flower? It's highly poisonous after all. Gloves should make that a non-issue though, right? Right.

A long exhale of a breath saw warmth in the form of wisps bellowing out from between her lips. It was a moment she needed to psych herself up before she settled forward onto her hands and knees to crawl into the bush. She closed one eye, feeling some of the twigs brushing roughly against her cheek -- that's a little too close for comfort! She didn't need to poke out anything!

Either way, she could see the ice spider lily in good view now. She'd keep her head tilted away while reaching out, at max distance(!!), to take hold of the first by the stem; at the grass level. She'd pluck that, and soon enough the other two. A brown baggy is awkwardly opened up (which needed a little help of her teeth) so that she could get to work on gathering the three plucked flowers. She saw some oozing liquid, which seemed to take on a slight crystal-like look to it.. like ice, but as she rubbed her gloved middle and thumb together she saw that it still was an ooze and not a crystalized at all.

Okay, she needed to make sure she didn't touch anything on herself with that glove for now. She carefully shimmied out from under the bush, let out another huff, and moved to stand up. Looks like it's only the picking glove that had the ooze on it, the bag and other glove seemed fine. She made sure to give it a close look though! After, happy with what she saw, she'd begin awkwardly rolling up the top of the brown bag with that one hand.

Now she's carefully removing those disposable gloves. Three should be enough, right? That's what she told herself. It should be enough to deal with the food supplies she needed for the road this weekend. Then if and when she downs the wyvern -- that's when the big payday will come. With the gloves off she'd drop them into a plastic bag and get to work on tying that up.

Proof of Hunt Completion: Gold Mark, Great Red Wyvern Scales

Runt marched into the Hunters Guild, ducking under the doors that were far too short for him. He walked up to the woman he assumed was in charge and opened up his very large sack, filled to the brim with red wyvern scales "MAAT SLAAG. ROD DREKI DOD" He picked up two scales and handed them over before closing up his trophies. Although Runt didn't care much for the tiny coins, he knew the small people used them - and it was the only way to get good ale without raiding the taverns. A coin purse was shoved his way and he added it to the large pouch which carried wyvern teeth inside. He turned around in lumbering massive steps, eager to take his fighting skills to this "outback" he had heard so much about.

Post by Rachael Blackthorne »

Rachael Blackthorne completed her participation in the Winter Snow Squall Brawl edition of Diamond Quest, held at the Winter Wonderland in her Baronial jurisdiction, with a second-round defeat to Jin Chae. Rachael's breath wreathed around her scarred features in a thick white mist from the cold and she pondered her next course of action. The Watchwoman's dark lens shielded sapphire hued gaze narrowed as something that... glowed was spied off at a fair distance from the festivities.

A low oath in a mixture of French, German and Turkish left the Baroness' lips before she headed in that direction. Most of her so-called free time recently had been spent procuring, packaging, and delivering those damnable Lilies that dared to surface around the stone cathedral that she was currently custodian of to the Guild drop off point. This would be just more in what felt like thousands to turn in.

Rachael's black leather booted steps crunched through the snow and ice as she approached the small patch of Ice Spider Lilies. "I summon Black Cat." With the command phrase, her black and gold armour formed around her. She knelt to wrest the damnable plants one by one from the frozen ground. "Black Cat, containment vessel." A shimmering black zip bag formed on the ice and snow. One by one, she deposited the Lilies into the zip bag and closed it. Then her measured armoured strides crunched through the snow and ice to take her to the drop off point.

After the exchange of Lilies for credit chits, Rachael's measured armoured strides returned her to the pavilion and the possible end of the festivities.

The January marks will be continuing into February. There's a lot more of those wyverns and giant rats out there causing trouble, along with reports of more ice spider lilies popping up due to the snowstorm. May luck be with you, good hunters!

From live play. Silver Mark - Giant Rat.

And so the door of the Golden Perch Inn is pushed right on open. Heavy bootsteps saw the cloaked woman, whose cloak smelt a little too much like the fresh scent of dead rats, headed to and finally up the stairs to the private rooms. A job is a job.. even if it's giant rats, and even if she felt it was a little under her paygrade. It's time for a bath.
