For clarification purposes, I never implied there was some sort of actual potential dueling tourney committed to determine squireship though one could infer I intended potentialy for competition going on that I was soliciting entires for, but rather as my initial post indicated I was interested in hearing why potential prospects wanted to be my squire specifically. I fully understand, accept, applaud, and encourage those duelers seeking to gain whatever advantages they can to perpetuate their careers in any of the dueling venues by whatever means possible and was entirely open to the possibility of having a squire that could potentially one day end up being a rival or a pawn of a rival if I hosted an open tourney.
I would relunctaly admit that after seeing all the overwhelming attention immediately poured onto my initial announcement of challenge even though a lot of the conversation veered into interpersonal exchanges not involving me but utilizing the challenge I was involved in as platform to engage with others it was disheartening to find when after my success no one really had interest in being apart of the process.
I am proud and happy to have Napoleon as my Squire regardless of what people think in how I awarded the title to him. I have known the piRATe for a long time from my days in TDL in competeing against him and his fellow Pirates from Heck teammates and beleive the respect as rivals was mutual and now as teammates I am encouraged with kinship of a time I preferred in the duels.
I am one of the Knights of Rhonabwy, a disciple of one of the original nine barons of this sport, and though we have been mostly absent for the better part of the last half dozen years except for brief rare cameo appearances, we are back to stay now.
We seek no cause or particular stance of how things should be, but yes we will represent and vocalize what we know of the history, tradition, pagentry of this beloved sport that we have been a part of for two decades now. The Knights are encouraged by the continued popularity of the rings and fresh blood currently participating, and understand our absence may have made our reputations forgotten, but we are here to remind those old and new our place in the spirit of the rings.
We are not haters, or angry detractors, but a group of duelers who seek glory and to test others or to be tested by the other great groups seeking glory as well. The gauntlet is thrown down but not in hate or war, but to inspire.
