Dockside Squire Tournament

Post by Neo Eternity »

I will be holding a tournament to find a Squire. It is open to anyone below the rank of Warlord, and the time and date will be determined according to the preferred dates of the participants. The format will be determined based on the number of participants.

The previous Squire of Dockside, Kaylin Rumblegutter, is automatically assured a place in the tournament, and receives automatic first seed should she wish to participate. I am happy to do so considering her rumored defiant stance against Vanion.

I am also the Keeper of Water, and thus, I would very much prefer that my Squire is willing to participate in the Duel of Magic, or to at least give it a try. However, I will not require it. Also, whoever becomes my Squire will receive automatic first seed in a special tournament that I will hold in Magic, should they choose to participate in it.

Just reply to this post to sign up, and include any dates and times you can't do, or if there are a lot of dates you can't do, include the dates and times you can do. I will allow signups until Thursday, February 18, at 11:59 PM.

Good luck to all participants!

She smiled at the announcement, producing a pen and paper, and writing a short note.

"It would be an honor to duel for the right to be your Squire.

Kelathe Skelicia
Bearer of the White Snake"

She posted it, using a small pin with a snake's head.

Penned in a calligraphic hand, archaic but beautiful, and surely a stark contrast from the spoken brogue of the writer:

I'm new to the Arena but not fighting, and would be honored to have a chance to compete in this tournament, your Lordship.

Signed,

Roderick of the Clan Douglas

This tournament will be held on this upcoming Monday, February 22nd, at 9:30 PM, RST.

Signups are now closed, though a spot will be held open for Kaylin should she wish to participate. As she is the previous Squire, that will be the only exception.

Kaylin managed to make it in time, thus we had eight competitors for the title of Squire of Dockside!

The final duel came down to Carley vs Kel. They tied it up at 4 all, and Kel managed to poke ahead over Carley's low cut for the victory!

Congratulations to Kelathe Skelicia, Squire of Dockside! I will also train Carley as a second place prize.
