Missed Thursday

I am very sorry, everyone involved, that I missed the Honor Match date yesterday.

My SO's foot got crushed badly at work, so I had to rush to the hospital and spent the night there.

She's doing okay right now and they're planning another surgury on Monday.

You take care of yourself and your SO and I hope she has a speedy recovery!

Well, I'm back.

The day after my SO got out of surgery... her dad was getting into a car wreck.

Needless to say, we got on a plane the following day, since her brother is out of the country on business.

Dad's doing okay now though... it wasn't as bad as we were led to believe. Still, considering he lives on a farm on the outskirts of Boulder, someone (read: me) had to look after things for a few days until he was getting around reasonably well.

While I was in Colorado, my cat ran away from my Aunt's house... Luckily, when we got home last night, she (the cat) was waiting in the back yard. Quite amazing when you realize I live more than 10 miles from my Aunt!

I got back to work today and, amazingly, nothing had fallen apart. We got a call from my SO's brother and, amazingly, he's not also injured!

I'm going to use this weekend to recover. The SO goes back to work on Sunday. Fortunately it's the kind of job she can sit down most of the time.
