As we're moving into Fall, we are quickly approaching the time of year that I would typically announce IFL registration to be open and getting the league together for an end of October season launch. Several people have checked in with me already to see if I intend to run the league this year.
The answer is that I would love to run the league, but I honestly do not know that there is enough interest to warrant it.
Before I begin the work of setting up a season, I want to check in and see if we have critical mass to support it.
Here's what I'm asking: If you plan to captain a team for this year's IFL season (and preferably have at least a couple people ready to join it) please contact me to let me know and give me an idea of who will be joining you. I know that a lot of previous year's captains do not intend to captain again this year, so we're going to need some new blood in the role if we want enough teams to launch.
While you're contacting me on this, I'd also be interested in your opinion on the minimum number of teams we should run with. We could run with as few as 4, but I'd ideally like to have at least 6. I'd like to know your thoughts.
Thanks,
~Kal

I would like to bring back and captain Warrior Force, but I am not sure about who is both willing to join the team and that also currently play on discord.
A minimum of four teams would work. Six teams would give a better variety of who fights who.
I would also like to see a minimum cap on team members be set at five members, at least until the minimum amount of teams are set up. The reason I have is this. It was extremely difficult for me and some teams to scrounge up the minimum five members when other teams started out with six or more members. There's also the two alternate characters limit, a rule I heartily agree with. Once those people with two characters are recruited to those six or more member teams, anyone else wishing to recruit one of those people's alternate characters are out of luck. When the minimum four/six teams are set up and have their five members, then the team captains can go back and recruit more members, to a cap of six members per team.
The free agent pool needs to also be easier to use. I would have loved to take advantage of the pool to alleviate burnout on my team, but the way the rules were set up, it didn't seem feasible for my needs.

I intend on captaining for real rhydin and I would be willing to run another team or duel on one. Im not fond of an enforced early cap to teams personally. I think alternate routes should be exhausted first, like maybe less people fight per team per week, but they do bo2 or bo3 instead of one duel, and double round robin if the team count is lower.
