Temper Tantrum?

Post by Amaris »

Overnight: 1/5/19 - 1/6/19
Laying in a heap to the side of the annex door lay Amaris’ clothes. Jeans, shirt, socks, and other articles of clothes - even her favorite purple boots - just strewn on the floor and left behind. Odd enough, but someone leaving the annex might be confused and wonder if the little girl had gone out without any clothes on.
Out in the dark, the clouds covered the moon… not that the moon gave off any light, considering its phase. Shadows clung, owning the night and making things eerier then usual. Amaris made her way across town, running hard and fast, pushing herself trying to run off her anger. When she finally stopped in a back alley, her sides were heaving, her paws were aching, and her head lowered as she looked around. She was almost crazed with her anger, even after trying to wear herself out.
Three women passed just as Amaris stepped out of the alley. One was dressed in a short black dress with winking sequins, her purse hanging from her wrist; the other women wore a red dress, a clutch purse also swinging from her wrist. In her other hand, she carried the third woman’s shoes. The last girl had stubbornly refused to continue wearing them, claiming they were hurting her feet, and she wouldn’t wear them any longer. The third woman, who was also wearing a tiara and sash, squealed loudly, causing Amaris’s ears to flatten and her body to crouch. The young woman flung herself towards Amaris, her words slurred a little.

“AWWW a Cuwte puwpy! Here, puppy, puppy, puppy, come here… I just wanna… wanna pet you…”

Low growls echoed, as the other two tried to pull the Bachelorette away from the wolf. A little more sober than their friend, they saw that Amaris was no domesticated puppy.
In a flash of fur and white teeth, the woman shrieked, pulling back away from the wolf pup. Her hand was bleeding and she gave an angry glare as Amaris took off, running away, heading towards the forests. She’d bitten hard enough to draw blood, but at the same time, her teeth had only lightly punctured the woman’s hand and made some scratches. She’d live.
Into the woods the wolf disappeared, heart racing. She got to a clearing surrounded by trees, and throwing back her head she howled, again and again, long and loud and draining. If she’d have no peace, she would not give it to others that night. After hours of continuous howling, Amaris’s voice was almost depleted. She moved to a tree, seeking shelter in its intricate roots. She whimpered and whined until finally, sleep found her and she passed out.
