Challenge For Dockside

A thick white sheet of parchment was tacked to the corkboard with a black and gold pushpin. The message that it contained was written in an exceptionally precise left-handed script in black ink. A seal in black and gold wax with the impression in the wax of a panther head was at the bottom of the parchment.


Utilising the challenge right that I have earned with achieving and maintaining the rank of Warlord, I hereby issue this challenge to the current custodian of the Barony of Dockside, Jackson, for that Barony.

Waiting has filled.

This challenge is not valid, per the requirement of the Universal Terms of Challenge which states: "A duelist can only participate in one challenge process at a time as a challenger or defender. A challenge process begins with validation and ends when the Official Standings are updated. Exception: Renegade barons may be under challenge by multiple challengers at a time. See Renegade Barons, item 2."



Since Jackson is currently involved in a challenge in which he is the challenger to the Overlord, he is not eligible to be challenged at this time until his current challenge is considered completed. For clarification, if Jackson's challenge to the Overlord takes place this week and at the end, Jackson is still a Renegade Baron, the next time he will be eligible to be challenged will be Sunday, December 5th at 6pm (eastern).

Because we were unable to find a past instance of a Renegade Baron being challenged while they themselves were involved in a challenge to the Overlord, the Duel of Swords staff recognizes that this is an uncommon situation as normally Renegade Barons are open to any challenge at any time. Therefore while the challenge is invalid and voided, Rachael will not be stripped of her challenge rights.

Since this ruling has now been made, any future challenges found voided for the same reason may have their challenge rights stripped as per the Universal Terms of Challenge.
