The Unveiling of a New Banner

The current Baroness of Old Market made her way down the stairs of the Arena, a cloth-covered round bundle tucked under one arm. She made her way straight toward the bar and then beyond, where she understood people would be working already. A small smile crossed her lips as she reached the offices, knocking lightly on the door. It opened a few minutes later, revealing of the several employees of the Duel of Swords.

The redhead smiled and bobbed her head. “Afternoon, I just came to deliver Old Market’s new banner and ask that it be raised.” She offered the cloth bundle to the lad and he nodded, assuring her that it would be done in the next few days as he took it in hand.

Jaycy smiled and made her way back to the main area of the fighting basement. Her gaze, unsurprisingly, traveled once more to the place marked for Old Market and she bowed her head toward the blank space and then took herself to the stairs, and up and out without another glance.

Soon enough, the new banner would be posted.

A field of azure blue served as the background for the full roaring dragon that dominated the space, its wings fully extended. The dragon itself was embroidered silver and the belly of the beast was marked by eight black stripes, four on each side. Finally, above the head of the monster floated the gold outline of a crown.

It was a bit of a departure from her previous banner, but … it felt like her.
