Challenge for Cadentia - King's Decree

Post by Lilith Anderson »

Anubis,

No rest for the wicked, eh? By virtue of claiming Warden of Overlook for the Summer Cycle and having sat on my hands for three full weeks at this point, I'm using the King's Decree to challenge for Cadentia.

-Lil
Well, I looked my demons in the eyes
laid bare my chest, said "Do your best, destroy me.
You see, I've been to hell and back so many times,
I must admit you kind of bore me."

I did call it! Tonight Baron Anubis and challenger Lilith met in the ring to settle something and see who would be Baron of Cadentia by the end of the night!

The challenger, Lilith, dueled under a red and black banner bearing the image of an axe imprinted with fruit, ivy, and a bow. Her Second for the night was John Cole (in absentia) and her People of Honor were the Anderson/Cole gaggle of heathens and brats.

The Baron, Anubis, dueled under his black banner with a silver Eye of Ra being threaded by a cobra, hood splayed and fangs out. The Baron of Seaside, Sal Delahada stood as his Second once more and again his Lady of Honor was Tetra.

The Baron opted for a Best of Three and the Overlady, Hope, declined to step in so it was on!

In the first duel, Anubis scored first blood but then we saw a rare quad cut ... AND THEY ALL LANDED and she was up to a quick 4-1! But Anubis wasn't immediately out, he got it back to 4-3 before the last round ended in a trade and the final score was 5-4 in 10 rounds, Lilith's favor.

The second duel started out with both of them scoring two quick points each in trades! Lilith took the lead in the third round and never looked back, getting to match point in the 4th! However, it took another 3 rounds before she would get that last point with a perfect - and perfectly timed - defense to win 5-2 in 7!

Lilith Anderson becomes the next Baron of Cadentia, winning in 2 matches!

Well reigned Anubis, and well won Lilith!

Lilith has aligned herself Renegade to the Overlady!
