For A Swim

Spring was always a time of breathing a little deeper and feeling a touch more alive. The small woman knew these as well.

She had spent much of the day helping out with the chores at the Red Dragon Inn before the docks and work there was seen to alongside Thale's friend.

When all of this was done, s'jira headed on horseback towards the Glen. The breeze was warm and the work had left her needing a swim. When the horse was brought to stand beside the lake within the Glen, she eased down from the back of Trygg and loosely tied the reins to a branch of the ancient, huge tree.

The pallid, sleeveless dress of white remained on, though she took off the softleather boots from her feet and belt with the little coinpurse from about her waist.

Then, into the cool waters of the lake, she waded to enjoy it for some time.

It was beside the tree of the fairy-like creatures that s'jira swam. As she went under the water and then emerged slowly with just her chin above the surface, she opened her eyes to find those zealous, four-winged beings flitting along the liquid around her.

She laughed warmly, quietly to find them there. Whimsically, s'jira ducked back under the waters to swim off a small span from where she had been a few moments before. The darkness of her hair that seemed to turn from a dark brown to black was seen first then blinking eyes.

But she had not lost the beautiful and very tiny beings. Words on their part was nothing more than song to her ears and the melody was enjoyed.

For most of the next hour, the small one enjoyed their company and swam while they flew not far from where she was.
