As an engagement gift, Sal Delahada and Gatito Lindo are gifting one (1) IceDancer essence and six (6) generic essences to Haru Jeong.

Haru was surprised by the gift, but accepted them with a massive smile, dancing lightly on his toes, a promise made to see Salvador and The Gatito in the ring for the tournament made.

During a conversation with Salvador and Gatito one evening--well, Gatito and Ebon did most of the talking, but Salvador chimed in with the occasional dry, snarky comment--the topic turned towards the upcoming King of the Ring tournament and the various essences being collected. Ebon mentioned that he and Eregor had gathered some essences of PathFinder and ShadoWeaver, and a bit more of FireStar.

The Spaniard glanced up sharply at the mention of the Black Opal, though his expression did not change; for him, that was a sure sign of piqued interest.

Seeing that, Ebon suggested a trade, his pair of ShadoWeaver essences going to Salvador and a matched pair of FireStar to Ebon.

Instead of a handshake, the two men settled on a fist bump of agreement. An even 2 to 2 trade, Salvador decided, was perfectly fair. The Spaniard tried and succeeded in not looking too eager about it when he made Bicho cough up the two (2) FireStar essences. He handed them to the gatito to give to Ebon in exchange for the two (2) ShadoWeaver essences, and once swapped their deal was complete.

After the essences were given to the young man, he went to the wizards with the staff and the motes, "Hey um? Is this where I get my weapon imbued?" There was a quiet nod from the wizard who held out his hands for the items and got to work. A few days later, he would return to pick it up, twirling the staff with a smile and thanks.

Maggie had made the pilgrimage to the wizard's apprentice to meld IceDancer and other essences into Winter's Dragons. The tiny sword rested about her neck until it was needed.

Early on Sunday morning, when nobody else was around, Salvador Delahada found his way back to the wizards with a handful of essences and his prize item from the cache. The Spaniard handed in three (3) ShadoWeaver essences and seven (7) generic essences to get the job done. When it was finished, his new Void Blade/Beetle, Bicho, seemed a little bit fatter but somehow harder to focus on clearly.

The Wizard seemed a little confounded by Bicho's slight chonkification, but if Sal wasn't going to say anything about it, neither would he. "Best of luck with your new little friend, here."

On Tuesday afternoon, the young man called gatito tracked down the Wizard he had spoken with on the Isle to ask about imbuing his Wind Saber, which he had called Mistral, with the power they had promised. He handed over seven (7) wisps of MoonBeryl essence and three (3) wisps of the lesser wild essence for the task. When the process was finished, the milky stone in the sword’s pommel flickered gently as if with contained lightning and a new, golden stone had filled the gap in the guard. It, too, pulsed faintly with magical activity.

The Wizard smiled as he returned Mistral to the gatito, offering a cryptic blessing in his future endeavors, be he near or far from his goals.
