Challenge for ShadoWeaver! (Opal Challenge Grant)

I once more hold a challenge grant, this time thanks to Mallory, and would like to use it to challenge my Swords mentor and Outback legend: Matthew Simon! I once more seek the right to hold the black opal, ShadoWeaver!

The Simon clan has a long history of holding Opals and keeping custody of them, but tonight we saw a change of hands as newcomer Mart Di’luna stepped up to the plate to take on the legendary Matt Simon in an epic series of three total brawls.

At first it seemed that our former Rhydin Governor was going to maintain his hold on ShadoWeaver, as he soundly defeated Mart 5 to 2 in seven rounds.

The second match was a bit of ping pong until the pair of them settled at an even of threes, but then Mart took the lead and ran off with it to secure a 5 to 3 win in the ninth round.

This brought us to the final deciding fight, and Mart came in guns blazing with determination. There were a lot of pauses for breathers between rounds where our fighters seemed indecisive, and for a while Mart had Simon buried in a hole. Our former Governor snagged himself a couple of points, but in the end, after eleven rounds, Mart Di’luna walked away the winner with a score of 5 to 2 and has become the next custodian of the Opal known as ShadoWeaver!

Well tried on that defense, Matt, and congratulations, Mart!
