Mallory,
Once again, I issue a challenge to an individual who I hold no actual grudge against. My reasons are thus:
For a goodly number of years, I allowed my interests and properties to fester in the hands of impotent and balding career number-crunchers, burning through my money in a vain attempt to forget their wives's justifiable adulteries. All the while, I rested. I emerged for the occasional tournament or challenge, but beyond this, I walked through this ethereal plane as in a stupor.
On this past season of sowing, I awoke. And I strode forth to burn my name in the nightmares of a new generation; the fate of the number-crunchers and their wives is unimportant. But affairs overtook me, I met new individuals, and became entangled in new imbroglios. And now, I find myself with a number of people to kill. Well, for a given value of people.
But I have not forgotten my original goals. I had challenged Gloria for the Opal that calls to me and was bested; as she paid me a great honor, I will not challenge her again. Evidently, neither will anyone else though. I suppose challenging such a great duelist would intrude on their busy days of drinking coffee and partying on the beach and generally not contributing to society. Que sera, sera: I cannot wait any longer. And you too are a skilled and worthy duelist. So I seek to test myself against you in the ring. To burn my name into the Histories all the more if I win, and to acknowledge your skill if I lose.
Either way, I challenge you for PathFinder.

Re: Pathfinder Challenge
Anubis found his test of skill for sure, starting off with a powerful showing in the opening match. Ultimately he took the match, 5 - 1 in 6 rounds. The next match, as I told everyone it would go, started off in Mallory's favor. She had a dominating showing, racking up 3 points before Anubis even saw one. Which happened to be his one and only as Mallory took the second match, 5 - 1 in 7 rounds. Now the third match is where my foresight failed me. I guessed it would be a long fought, even match to the end. Instead, like the second, Mallory started off strong and finished in definitive fashion, 5 - 1 in 9 rounds.
It took three matches, but Mallory holds on to her title and Anubis gets the relief that he's not going home with a rock he didn't really want. Huzzah everyone!
