Coloring Extravaganza!

Post by Adan Rovenk »

Adan hosted a shift in the Books and Brews, which was themed around coloring books! There were delicious macaroons, and plenty of coloring books to choose from! If you'd like to share your pictures, please do!

Kira hadn’t colored anything in ages. Her tutor insisted on paining during her education. She had enjoyed the idea and the experience well enough, but there was always something else she had rather been doing. As she sat in Books and Brews, however, and the gathering built, she decided to pick out a coloring book for herself and some soft wax crayons. It felt a little childish, but maybe she needed a little childishness right now. And it felt good to be doing something with her new community the night before the Solstice. It reminded her a little of the solstice festival, and it make her feel more at home here.

When she finished, she regarded her picture. It was horrible and she felt outshone by all the others coloring around her. Even some of the children did better than her! She pinned her picture up anyway with the rest on the wall and purchased some coloring pencils for later.

Amaris left behind her picture to be hung up if they'd like and some money to allow them to pick up a few coloring books for the donation.
