The next piece of gossip had the writer quirking a brow. Suspicion and perhaps a bit of speculation would be the mixture of theme for the next piece they started to type out on the keys.

Mysterious Blue Lights

It seems something is in the air around Twilight Isle. Or maybe it's always been there and we've just not noticed before. People are complaining about seeing little blue lights floating about in the Isle and causing havoc with the market place food vendors. The lights seem to be attracted to food and drinks, and people too. These lights have been spotted about town as well. Sources say they were floating about The Golden Perch as a certain Witch served drinks. Maybe Mallory Maeda has something to do with these little balls of blue destruction! She has been seen doing strange things before so it wouldn't surprise us here if she is the reason these things are here now. Good witch or bad, the blue lights are rumored to cling to a person once they find them. Even the previous keeper of Earth seems to have found a few to call his own as he was seen last night with a few of those lights buzzing around him as well. Watch out Rhydin...the blue lights might choose you next!

It had been some time since the writer had been at this desk. The pile of mail sitting waiting for them should have seemed daunting but really to them it was opportunity. They pushed the button on the screen and the computer beeped happily to life reaching over, they took the top letter and popped it open. The tidbit of information within caused a laugh to escape and fingers to fly on the keyboard. This was one of the best pieces of gossip they'd seen in a while.

Governor and The Seven Dwarfs
Of course everyone knows there is a newly appointed Governor and she hasn't wasted any time in showing just exactly how she plans to run things around here. Making sure she's out in the public is the first step to showing people she's not afraid to be open to suggestions. Whether they are verbal or physical it seems. We have it on good authority that Friday night she proved that point by dancing with dwarfs. That's right we said dwarf with an s because she didn't dance with just one..No she danced with all seven! Sources say, that the dwarfs were scantily dressed and highly encouraged by three previous Governors as well. Perhaps this is an initiation? Or maybe it's just the first of many publicity stunts to come. Either way, we at The Tattler do look forward to seeing just what else our new dancing queen will do next!

The writer had waited all month before submitting the article. It was something new and possibly something that would grow incredibly fast, or move achingly slow. Either way, they had decided to give it a try. The only sound in the office was the tapping of fingers on keys as they took their time to construct the story or rather, a conglomeration of stories.

Monthly Tattler Trophy

This month we've decided to do something a bit different here at The Tattler. Instead of bringing you articles daily, we've sent out investigators to run a sort of a tally on the citizens of RhyDin. We here are looking for the best of the best. The one who stood out the most during the month in outrageous, hilarious, gossip causing escapades. Of course, it would not come to our surprise that the winner this month is one who's been the subject of many articles here since The Tattler was born. So without further ado, we here want to congratulate the winner of the first Monthly Tattler Trophy...Captain Morgan LaFey!

Captain LaFey has been the subject of so many different topics this month it might take all of next month for us to give them to you, so we've chosen the best to present to you so you could see how we came to the decision.

It seems the Captain took things a bit to far at a team dueling event where he ended up getting into a fight, outside of the rings, with one of his own teammates Morgan Chae. Then, in true LaFey fashion, he has appeared in several public events inebriated. No surprise really, considering he is a ship captain. However, that doesn't explain why Friday the Red Dragon Inn was the selected place for a bit of buttery vandalism. Sources say he was responsible for filling most of the lower level of the Inn with popcorn. These three stories, along with numerous others, are the reason we came to this decision. Captain LaFey will be receiving the first ever Monthly Tattler Trophy so make sure you ask him to see it in all its glory.

If you have someone you would like to nominate for this next month feel free to send a message to us here at The Rhydin Tattler with their name and the reasoning you think they should be awarded this special trophy!

Later in the day a box would arrive at the last known address of Captain LaFey. There was no return address on the box but the label boasted the name The RhyDin Tattler. Inside was a trophy displaying a large pirate ship on a pedestal.

The engraving on the front read:

1st Ever Monthly Tattler Trophy
Captain Morgan LaFey

The gossip hit their desk with a frenzy and The Writer had to sift through multiple tellings of this one particular piece. Since it was confirmed via video as well, they had no reason to not doubt it was true. Anticipation brimming, they set fingers to the keys.

Does the Witch have a bat in the cave?

We here at The Tattler are more than happy to announce good news just as much as bad and sordid news. This piece of news comes to us from an event that took place last night on The Twilight Isle. It seems that during the Archmage tournament a certain blood witch made a bold announcement. One that hints at the fact that she and her wife will soon be a family of three! That's right folks! The one and only Mallory Maeda has confirmed that she is expecting! Will it be a boy or a girl? Will it have horns? The bets are on! Make sure you stop her to congratulate her when you see her!

It had been a long time since the writer had the opportunity to set fingers to the keys. A change of office venues had taken them away from their daily routine and the return seemed just as hectic as the move had been. Now that the dust had settled, the writing could commence and the pile of waiting messages might have seemed overwhelming to some but not to them. They looked over each one with such anticipation and fingers itched to start spreading the gossip much further than their desk. With a smile, they chose the perfect one and started once more to spin their tale. It would soon be evident to all.....The RhyDin Tattler was back!

The writer couldn't believe their luck! Gossip couldn't be considered gossip if it came directly from a source involved...right? The juicy piece of information was enough to have them rushing to their desk and getting started right away on the piece they knew would be perfect for the return edition.

Local Heart Throb Now has a Fan Club!

We here at The RhyDin Tattler always pride ourselves in our sources and this time is no exception. We have it on very good confidence that a local man is adored so much that he now has his own fan club! How do we know? The president of the club contacted us directly and wanted to make sure we got the word out. Unfortunately, we do not know this man called Cane or even know what he looks like but we do know who his biggest fan is and have a photo and a direct quote from her! So without further ado, meet Durleen: President of Cane's Fan Club!

What would be a welcome back if there wasn't an article about this next subject? The writer was very familiar with the person mentioned in this little tidbit of gossip and they didn't even hesitate to write out the glorious details. There would be no double checking it for errors or even a worry about what might be thought of the piece considering this one had been mentioned several times before and would probably continue to fill their inbox with tales about them. Off to the presses it went!

Fire, Ice, and.....A Monkey?!

It should not come to a surprise that once again we have found a target in a certain well known sea captain. However, this bit of information comes from multiple sources that claim to have seen this with their own eyes. As we all know, Morgan LaFey is the holder of the Opal Ice Dancer and did come under challenge just a few nights past. It's not the challenge or even the Captain's behavior at such an event that triggered several to write us with information. It appears that a new arrival to RhyDin felt it necessary to heat things up after such a bout and that's where things got a bit messy. One would think that holding Ice Dancer, the Captain would be able to ward off a little heat but perhaps things got a little to hot for him. Sources say the man was set ablaze and instead of retaliating himself, he used his little ice monkey friend to defend himself! The monkey in question was seen attacking the new arrival's face! Perhaps this should be taken as a warning instead? Really though, how does one that melds with ice and water get heated up enough that they actually catch fire? This is the question we need answers to.

With the newest piece of information given, the writer was very curious as to how this piece was going to be received. Could it cause chaos? Could it cause a revolt? Would there be violence and despair? The words typed, the piece created, and off to the presses it went!

Company VS Wilds?

We here at The Tattler pride ourselves in discussing local gossip among the citizens of RhyDin but sometimes other creatures do need the spotlight. This particular bit of news comes from a good source that states there may be a bit of a ruckus in a large section of wooded land known as The Wilds. This could bring good news to those that like to trap and hunt or could it be the start of a form of a territory war? We will leave that for you to decide. Sources say a local producer of manna stones have recently started scouting a location to expand, but found the local wildlife at the most viable location to be resistant to the building of a new facility. Word has it they are seeking hunters of fortune and mercenary types to help them clear the land. Maybe a worthwhile endeavor for you adventuring types to make a little extra money? Or perhaps it will bring those that believe the land belongs to the creatures out to fight in their defense. What will happen? Who will win? This will be something we will be keeping a close eye on!

With a lull in gossip came idle fingers and idle fingers meant impatient editors. Blaming the elections for keeping everyone's attention at bay, the writer was excited to open the message that contained today's edition fodder. Amid the hustle and bustle of the news room, they settled at their desk and hunkered down to type out the juicy piece that would soon be at every news stand and Inn across town.
A Budding Romance?
Spring has passed and fall is fast approaching but there are some places that still hold tight to the feel and splendor of flowers and green grass. One such place is The Solarium and it seems that the atmosphere is aiding the growth of more than just flowers and plants. A photo was submitted to us to prove that this bit of information we have received could very well be factual but we shall leave that to our loyal readers to decide. Sources tell us that the well known Tasslehofl Momus was seen with the Lady Scarlett in the solarium recently, and they sure looked cozy! Could there be something blooming between the two besides the trees they were surrounded by? A picture says a thousand words and we here at The Tattler are very happy to have received one to go along with this!

(A photo of Tasselholf and Scarlett, standing very close together and talking, in The Solarium was submitted for this article by the message sender as well.)

Such big news deserved a good representation of it. They had been waiting and now it was time to make the announcement official. With a gusto, the story was written and off to the presses it went!

New Governor in Town!

The results are in and we here at The Tattler want to be the first to break it to you. After a very rigorous election it seems the new Governor has been chosen. Who doesn't like fun and parties and something nice to look at? It seems the newly appointed Governor has all of those attributes and so much more. Everyone make sure to wish Karma congratulations when you see her and do not hesitate to become your own form of paparazzi. We just might pay handsomely for some juicy photos or tidbits of information about the new Governor. Will she hold true to her promises? We will keep a close eye on this one!

It had been some time since the writer had a chance to sit down and actually touch upon the keys. With their break now over, the silence that had befallen the office was broken as it came back to life in a flurry of reporters, photographers, and errand runners. They said their
hellos and found the dust covered desk, still piled high with letters full of entertaining gossip. First thing was first, they must respond to their questions and then it would be on to the juicer content. The letter plucked from the pile was studied and soon enough a response was given.

Dear Gabby,

I have a friend who is always trying to find trouble. They are a mercenary and have great skills but they are not invulnerable and I am worried that they are going to bite off more than they can chew. I've spoken to them, I've begged them, I've even suggested they go find an enchantment to help them stay alive. Though all have fallen on deaf ears. Would it be wrong for me to find some sort of invulnerability potion and slip it in their drink?

Signed, A Worried Friend

Dear, A Worried Friend,

Sometimes being an adventurer can come with certain dangers. It does sound like your friend is experienced and perhaps a bit eager. Though, I don't think slipping a potion in their drink is something you should be doing. I understand the worry you have but you do have to remember the place we are all existing in. In a land where magic is prevalent, perhaps it's best to get your friend to talk to an even more experienced adventurer who has some stories of bad luck and misfortune to tell. Maybe hearing it from them will get your head strong friend to slow down and take a listen. We have heard of a few Slayers in the area that are known to give very good advice.

Always yours, Gabby

With the answer typed up, they pulled the sheet from behind the roller, waited for the ink to dry, and then sent it off to the presses.

A Beach Battle For The Books!

It has come to our attention here at The Tattler that there have been some goings on at Seaside Beach as of late. A fun little obstacle course has drawn many an excited visitor or two. Though, it seems that is not all that has been attracted to the sand and surf. We have it on good authority that two very well known fighters have had a late night scrimmage in the sand. Though we didn't see exactly what happened we have heard that a certain Egyptian, known for their violence in the rings, did some incredible damage to one of our favorite Sea Captains. Though there were no bodies left wounded to report on, there was a notable amount of blood left in their wake. Perhaps a hard lesson was learned and maybe a captain became a captive?

The writer smiled with glee as they sent this story off to the presses.
