Memoir of a Bounty hunter

Post by Carbon »

The amount of demons and dragons around Carbon and Blake seemed plentiful enough without the existence of their leader, Zerr being among them. The huge, red demonic Lord was anything but a sight for sore eyes, and his eyes set just on Emperor Blake alone, leaving Carbon to deal with the sworm of demon soldiers, and dragon alike. Carbon was proud to do the job along side her leader though, faithfully as the only human in the land to be able to stand her ground in such way. Watching Blake move forwards towards Zerr his whole presence exuberant that of a leader, from his golden armor which held the powers of all elements from it, the regal cape that trailed it and hovered just above the ground as he walked forward, to fight against the Demonic Lord all on his own.

“You do not belong here, be gone!” Lunging forward he would dive gauntlet stretched out to meet Zerrs. The magical powers between them both sent Blake sliding back his boots leaving deep grooved lines in the sand from being pushed back by the demon lord. Shaking his head he stepped forward regaining his steps to come right back at Zerr. This time the hit finally getting its target and connecting, sending a great ugly roar of pain. Zerr opening up his own hand began to shoot out a beam of magic intended for Blake. That hit also connected against the emperor and shook his armor to the core. Eyes winced in pain as he tried to gain composure. Looking over at Carbon he knew what he had to do.

The bounty hunter moved within the Demons, slashing one handed presented a long sword in one hand, glowing red with fire magic, the other arm was its on shield, covered in very thick crystal. Slashing through demon after demon, until a dragon come within quarters of the bounty hunter the long short would then be snapped back by Carbons own hand and it began to detach it seemed to become more of a whip than that of a sword nonetheless still radiating that red fire magic. She whipped it around forward again and around the neck of the dragon and began to vault herself up and around its neck landing atop it the crystal fist going to find its new home into the base of the neck of the creature before she opened her fist to the crowd of demons around it and began blasting, all the while still trying to keep a vantage point atop the dragon while it shook like hell trying to knock her loose.

Shaking off the pain in his chest Blake drew his own gauntlet covered hand forward to expel the magic of all five elements into Zerr. The demon and psychotic king taking it with a smirk of his lips continued to close gap between himself and Blake, for he had magic of his own. Moving to dart forward towards Blake a dark powerful aura would surround him as he was inches from Blake. Seeing this Blakes eyes went to Carbon before he did the only thing he could think to keep her, and the land safe. A portal appearing behind him was his last attempt to conjure magic before the demon would spear into Blake and sent them both into the portal behind them. Pieces of armor both coming apart from their respected armors as they both are propelled into what seemed like an abyss.

Leaving the demons around her in her wake she still held a spot atop the dragons head. Crystal arm moving to try and punch through the Dragons scales. Hearing the fight between Blake and Zerr made her green eyes move to their location. The Dragon knocking its head up and sent the bounty hunter bucked slightly into the air. The next moment was in slow motion for Carbon as it seemed her own motion being totally ignored and focused on Blake. Seeing the armor fall to pieces, she knew of its power and sudden fear, not for her own life took over her whole soul. Crystal arm would reach out as she decedent from the dragon to fall and reach for not her leader but her friend. Eyes began to welt up as she laid at the ground, hearing it seemed space and time shift a catastrophic boom could be heard as she watched them both disappear before her eyes.

“NOOOOOO!!!”

She expelled air from her nostrils in disbelief of her eyes, totally disregarding the powerful beast still now that was looking down at her and had her locked in his sights. Crystal covered hand still reached out for her friend that was no longer there as a small tear rolled down her cheek. At the same moment, the Dragon would expel a belly full of fire towards the bounty hunter that was frozen to the fact that it was even happening. Fire projected from the torso up would be bellowed down into Carbon as she lay there helpless of now her own demise. A blood curdling scream tore from her vocal chords as she felt the fire take what air she had left in her lungs that the cry of pain didnt. Her arm finally falling to the same ground that she lay upon. The dragon watching his victim remain motionless a moment before sending another deep breath of fire into the sky. Leaving his opponent on the ground for the world to have, he began to ascend to the sky and take flight with his wings, after he had taken a grave part in the fall of Carbon.
