Haku wasn't a student of HSCS but she did spend much time there throughout the past 2 years; after all her sister in law is the principal and her sister is the school nurse. That and the fact that Yuina had asked her to prom! Haku went along with the starry theme, choosing a blueish dress that she thought matched well with the lighter blonde hair she was currently sporting due to the Valentine concert last month.

To the Administration of the Kabuki Street Community School,

In lieu of taking part in the date auction, I have arranged for a trust account, supported by the MacLeod Foundation, to be opened at the First Goblin Bank of Rhy'Din in Old Market to benefit the music department.

Sincerely,

Colleen MacLeod

Hello, students and family and friends of the school! I have exciting news!

On Thursday night, the Tranquility Ballroom Date Auction raised 1,006,621,801 silver nobles! With a small part of these funds, Kabuki Street Community School will be opening a new conservatory, named the Wellston Conservatory in honor of the fundraiser's organizer, the talented musician Regina Wellston. Another part of the funds will be set aside for our school's graduates (past, present, and future!) for scholarships, apprenticeships, and training, as well as general school improvements. The rest will be redistributed to charities in need selected by the school board.

In addition, Colleen MacLeod has generously arranged for a trust supported by the MacLeod Foundation to provide support to our music department. Thank you, Colleen! There may be other things coming the music department's way soon, so keep an eye on our school bulletin board and newsletter!

We will be making minor renovations to the music rooms and building the attached conservatory during the summer break, breaking ground on July 18th of this year, and looking to open at the start of the second term on September 14th. Please look forward to it!

Wishing you all the best in the new school year,
Mallory Maeda, Classics Teacher

On Saturday night, after the KSCS graduation ceremony Yuzuki found a moment between the end of the celebration and the one to follow at Tacos Tacos with the rest of Rappapa to visit the new Rappapa club room. Located in the upper floor of the new dojo building that Asami had bought, it now contained all of the relics and keepsakes that they had chosen to take with them from the old school pool building club room. Yuzuki had a new keepsake to add, to the wall already well decorated with photographs and trophies, a snap of the four Rappapa heavenly queens taken by Asami just after the graduation ceremony.

As he promised, or may have accidentally promised, Desdenova showed up with a lot of watermelons to deliver to the Shrimps. He left them in the cafeteria to be handed out as wanted or needed. The Shrimps were all cool, they didn't laugh when he did the Batusi!

By the time Yuko arrived at the cafeteria when reports of a fight over food, possibly involving the newest occupants of the Brassband Club room, the only sign of the altercation was Meru Yamane who was crawling around on the cafeteria floor counting grains of dropped rice. At least until she spotted the vice-principal, Reira Tanaka who had some bits of macaroni stuck to her hair and looked none too pleased.

After going back to the office, with a stop to the washroom to clean Reira up Yuko rummaged in the office filing cabinet and pulled out a blank official KSCS rice fight form with a sigh. "We better get this filled out" she told the vice-principal, taking the pen from her desk.

(with Reira's player, thanks!)

Kabuki Street Community School will be hosting a Halloween Dance & Trick or Treat Night for the schools students on Friday, October 29th.

Students are encouraged to dress in school appropriate costume throughout the day and participate in events that are planned later in the evening.

For Elementary through Middle School students, there will be a a Trick or Treat tour down select halls of the school and courtyard starting at 6 PM. Halloween themed courtyard activities will be moved to the auditorium should there be changes in the weather.

High School aged students are invited to attend the Halloween Dance starting at 7 PM in the gymnasium. An assortment of candy, cakes, and other treats will be provided by the generous Kabuki Party Planning Committee.

This is another reminder to please dress appropriately.

"Look what I got!" Jin exclaimed in the morning as she barged into The Only Club's club room.

Not only did the gate guardian sport a brand new sukajan — but also some brand new boots to go along with it. She made a point to explain the color motif and how all gate guardians should wear the same colors, as it was: "A tradition, or something."

The rest of Monday went as normal.. until around twelve forty-five. That's when a fire alarm went off in the swimming hall. After an investigation it turned out no fire took place, just the burning of some food thanks to a portable stove.

The culprit? It was Jin who could be seen being arm-dragged to the principals office by Coach Park.

"I was just trying to make mashed potato fries.." was the excuse.

On Friday night Yuko was notably cheerful and glad to join in some of the fun at the KSCS Halloween dance while chaperoning the event in the Chae Gymnasium along with Kiyomi. She made sure to get some pictures of the decorations, which she had helped to work on together with Yuina and Haku. The students enjoyed the music and dancing, along with the generous supply of treats and coach Kim Park only had to issue a few detentions for attendees who forgot the reminders to dress appropriately.

It didn't take long for Jin to be stopped by Ms. Park and told to put on a pair of gym shorts.. that and being told she'd have detention the coming Monday. Jin didn't seem to mind and thought it was well worth it! And even did her best not to laugh while Couch Park wagged a finger as she lectured her.

Once allowed to venture into the party she'd be quick to find her collection of friends and enjoy the night. Once the festivities were over she'd be carried out by Meru, since too much candy equaled a sugar crash.

Meru was enjoying the dance, in spite of her brief confusion when Jin got separated from the group. While waiting for her to return she enjoyed sampling all the snacks from the various loaded tables and took some pictures of the decorations. She had taken off the helmet of her handmade Dry Bones costume and was carrying it under one arm while she gave the sugar-crashed Jin the customary piggy back ride to the club room.

Today was a busy day for Jin.

Before lunch? Challenge to the Only Club. Jin took a hit square to the jaw and dropped, but rose up again and won the fight. -2 Energy

Lunch. Hot dogs were pretty good! +5 Energy

After lunch? Only Club challenged again. Jin did her part as the Gate Guardian once more and fought! Dropped twice, one time to a knee to the face after being dragged down to the ground, the second time when Kennedy got her in the stomach right after she got up. Nose busted, so pretty bloody, but still won after Kennedy backed down when Jin stood up for a third time after recovering. -5 Energy

After school? Only Club challenged again. Gate Guardian Jin fought even though she wanted to go paint her nails with Kaede. Didn't get knocked out this time but got close to it. Won. Collapsed outside of the gym and needed Meru to carry her back to the club room. -3 Energy

Slept while Meru fielded the 4th and final challenge to the club. +5 Energy

Still didn't get to paint her nails with Kaede and need to get her bloody uniform cleaned. Sad. :(

Meru had been secretly delighted to fill in for the sleeping Jin and was ready to send a message to future challengers about the power of the Only Club. Her enthusiasm might have gotten a bit carried away when she hurled the challenger over the back fence and nearly into the canal - an action that saw the Second Heavenly Queen of the Only Club seated in detention at the end of the day.
