A Berry Gaelikitten Spectacular! (Event finished with 115% Completion Rating!)

The flight of the Gaelikittens will soon be upon us! These little bundles of fur have been hidden for so long up in the clouds over Twilight Isle that they've become a bit stir-crazy! Gaelikittens-a-plenty have been spotted all about the Isle.. stretching their wings, zipping around, and preparing for the big race at the end of the month! But.. there's one little Gaelikitten who doesn't seem to be in the same festive mood!

This little black Gaelikitten has no wings.. and all the other high flying cats have told the poor little guy that no wings means no flying, and no flying means no racing!

There must be a way to help this little Gaelikitten! Guess what, there is a way! The kittens favorite food, the Twilight Berry, is in bloom!

Gaelikittens go absolutely crazy for Twilight Berries - and maybe with a little magic sprinkled onto each of this little black kittens servings... he will get enough magical oomph to grow wings and take to the sky!

Phoenixes from the Tower of Fire gather an enchanted (and spicy!) Twilight Berry from the aftermath of a Primordial ritual to mine precious gemstones.

Nako arrived at the giant sakura tree with the Twilight Berry she had found and enchanted from the glade.

She delivered it to the black kitten in person, along with an encouraging pat after being assured by Royal that gaelikittens were not hostile.

Before the Tower of Water challenge, the three children in the Túr Gairdín family banded together to search for twilight berries. Between them, they collected a small cupful. One berry each was tasted by the children before setting the little cup down for the gaelkittens to share.

The landscaper fell through the portal at the Inn, a berry falling out behind her that she left with the kitten.

Every morning before classes, Maggie took a step through the portal to visit with Kanaloa, the baby octopus. He seemed happy living near the Tower of Water with Coci and Schlop to keep him company. Orinel, the matriarch of the dolphin pod, wished her a good morning in the chirps, clicks, and chatters common to cetaceans. Some mornings, she visited with her Aunt Nicole, who knew many of the aquatic languages.

"You think you'll live there someday, Maggie?" Nicole said to her niece between conversations with Orinel and Andrina, the pink haired mermaid.

"Maybe," Maggie said as she offered a small fish to Orinel. "I need a bit control over my own gifts before I'm ready to take on an Elemental Tower."

"That explains it," Andrina said as she tipped her head toward Nicole.

"Explains what?" Maggie sounded puzzled.

"We were discussing why you didn't sign up for the Archmage Tournament since you're a Mage now." Nicole smiled fondly at her niece. "I'm rather hoping you chose Fire when the time comes."

"That's your primary gift, Aunt Nikki, mine are still muddled." She smiled. "As Gran keeps reminding me, my time will come."

Leaving Nicole to her conversations, Maggie picked a couple of twilight berries for the Gaelkitten to eat. Holding them flat on her palm, she crouched down to give the little one the pair of berries. "Don't worry, little one, your time will come, too," was whispered.

In the wee early hours of Twilight Isle.. tragedy occurred! Quick rasps at the beach house door woke Royal to an awkward start.

"Something's wrong with the Gaelikitten! He's looking sick!"

With no time to change out of her tank top and pajama pants Royal would be forced to quickly slip on her sandals and follow the three goblins.

Worry turned into surprise when they arrived on the scene. The Gaelikitten, who Royal was told had curled up and started shaking, looked perfectly fine and well! The biggest surprise of them all? The little kitten had grown wings of its own! It dove, swooped, and fluttered about with the other Gaelikittens as they celebrated their new friends wings!

"Lucky! Lucky! Lucky! Lucky!~♪" the Gaelikittens sang in a cheer.
Even the feisty Sweetpea was hopping on top of Big Chonks head as they cheered as well.

The Gaelikitten had finally gotten its name: Lucky

A fitting name for all the love and help the Twilight Isle community had given to it.
