Midnight Redecoration at The Line

Post by Jake »

"Shhhh! Be quiet. You're making too much noise!" Followed by giggling.

"If you keep giggling, it's you that's gonna be heard," a low growly response.

The orc moved around a table, careful to avoid nudging any of the chairs flipped onto the tabletop. He handed another poster off to the faerie, whereupon she tacked it into place on the wall next to the last. The poster joined dozens of others already in place to form a new wallpaper for the front room of The Line. On it, a coy, seductive faerie, with nary a stitch of clothing--but tastefully discreet where it counted--promoted Mad Fairy Winter Ale. Row upon row of the Empress Overlady now decorated The Line.

Jake chuckled quietly to himself, then noticed the faerie was impatiently tapping one blood-smeared high heel and holding her hand out to him. He handed off another poster. "Only a few more left."

"Do you suppose we should cover the floor as well?"

"You don't think the ceilin' was enough?"

Jewell giggled again and tacked up the next poster. "He'll love it."

"What about Jerry?"

She smirked, "He won't bother them. He loves me."

With the final poster in place, covering the last bit of empty wall space, the blue-haired faerie skipped back and assessed her work. She grinned at the half-orc. "Let’s do the bedroom next."

"We'll need more posters."
