Re: Baron vs. Baron Challenges - 2024 Spring Cycle Update

Feedback and ideas are always welcome, either here on the boards or privately via Discord or forum DM. We will listen and weigh all comments fairly, and even when we don't act on a request, it is never ignored. Could we have an announcement posted in IC area, please, regarding the tokens being sent...

Re: Baron vs. Baron Challenges - 2024 Spring Cycle Update

We can promise to do our best to not have them sit for a whole cycle (e.g. if a barony went vacant in the first half of a cycle we'd look at options to put it back into circulation). That might look like another one-night tournament, it might look like a two-week round-robin event, it might look li...

Re: Baron vs. Baron Challenges - 2024 Spring Cycle Update

They would not. They won't be given a new token ever again or just for the cycle in which they vacate a title? As someone who currently has a character with a title, the distinction is important to me. Sorry, I may have misunderstood the context in which the question was asked. Tokens are given out...

Re: Baron vs. Baron Challenges - 2024 Spring Cycle Update

Why are these challenges limited to single duels if no tests or grants that permit someone else to intervene are not allowed? Barons have always had the choice of single duel or Best of Three for challenges. Removing that choice for Baron to Baron duels seems like removing a perk of rank to me. Bes...

Re: Baron vs. Baron Challenges - 2024 Spring Cycle Update

I realized that I need further clarification on this from my post: If someone were to time things right, theoretically, they could challenge and defeat a fellow Baron in the last week of one cycle then do it again the next month (which would be in the following cycle) after vacating one of the two t...

Re: Baron vs. Baron Challenges - 2024 Spring Cycle Update

So long as it’s a mechanic that remains in character , yeah that would be cool story. I have reservations due to previous experience, however. I feel like this is a new mechanic rife with the possibility for abuse. That's my concern as well. In my original draft, I had the following, but left it ou...

Re: Baron vs. Baron Challenges - 2024 Spring Cycle Update

I'm glad Droet started this conversation because I've been trying to find the right words to use. Why are these challenges limited to single duels if no tests or grants that permit someone else to intervene are not allowed? Barons have always had the choice of single duel or Best of Three for challe...

Re: Love’s Frequency (Valentine’s Day 2024 Radio Request Line)

Dear DJ Cupid, this is a short notice request. Can you send out a Happy Birthday wish from the Fab Four on this grand day for someone special to many? They will know, that's what matters. For My Boys , please send out Silly Love Songs from Sir Paul McCartney and Wings because they always bring joy t...

Mentor/Neophyte Question

If someone's mentor is no longer on the standings, do they automatically lose their standing as a neophyte or is there some kind of grace period involved in case the mentor returns?

Re: Our Current Plans

Could you elaborate a little more on this? I'm not sure I'm connecting the dots on it. While I definitely believe people that have accomplished most things they want then turn to hunting achievements and may trickle off participation when they can't land one or don't have one they want to aim for, ...

Re: Our Current Plans

Regarding Head Coordinator achievements, not every head coordinator has felt comfortable with one and doesn't wish for the spotlight to be on them so to speak. The Coven Killer allows for coordinators to share that spotlight if it otherwise makes one feel uneasy. In addition, achievement creation a...

Re: Our Current Plans

Personally, I would prefer to see a new item be implemented that would function in the way you described. Furthermore, I would like to see that new item offer an extra fancy even to WLs, putting them on even footing with Barons, but without the other benefits of holding the title. It could function...

Dragon's Gate History - progress report

Some time ago, I volunteered to dig up a history of Dragon's Gate. This is more of a progress report than a finished product as I am still searching for information. I have left off some of my to search notes. If anyone has ideas on how to format this better, I'm open to suggestions. The Sixth Manor...
