5'9", 120 pounds. Dark olive skin, black hair with some chestnut highlights, and golden amber eyes.


It was a hard life, the streets of Sáo Paulo were unkind to orphans. Skills were learned and survival maintained. The most accomplished feat was remaining out of the grasp of what the street rats called "Os Ladrões do corpo" (The Body Thieves).

At the age of fourteen, Merci was "rescued" from her gritty life of poverty and starvation as she attempted to steal from what appeared to be a wealthy businessman. The only thing she stole that day was the attention and adoration of a man who was old enough to know better.

He was taken in by the soulful eyes, carefully guarding her innocence and secrets. He could see past the dirt upon her face and the rags upon her too thin frame. She was offered the opportunity to earn a better life for herself. Shrewd from so many years upon the streets, Mercedes knew a good thing when she saw it. Or did she?

Eventually, being paid to smile paid off. Her countenance was plastered across magazine covers all over Brazil and soon she was traveling the world wide, accompanied by Jorge who acted as her manager.

There was no starvation in this life, no need to steal or hide. There were bright lights, vices of any design, and no worries for what tomorrow would bring. Mercedes was born to play this part.

All she had to do was smile.
