From a glance, Akarui doesn't stand out in a crowd of his peers. Not one to be considered tall at 5'4", he can barely reach the top shelf at the store if he stands on his tiptoes. Athletic, though not through the choice of working out: but rather through occupation and running; from what? Don't ask. Long brown hair left to grow out was still kept under control, with the bangs flanking over his brown eyes.

What may be unremarkable about his form, is made up by a few distinct markings. A scar runs lengthwise along his cheek courtesy a metal wire snapping and barely missing killing him. On his right shoulder, the start of what he hopes to become a full sleeve of tattoos, a black ink depiction of a dragon.

Skills:

Akarui is your typical young adult, spending his days learning in school, his afternoons tinkering with anything that has an engine [motorcycles are personal favorites of his], getting into trouble, and then running from it, and flying highspeed aircraft.

School isn't his most favorite thing, having already been required to repeat a grade meant his age now caused him to stand out amongst his classmates, which only causes him more discomfort in the sterile environments of most classrooms. Though unliked, he does try his best in school enjoying a variety of topics from Math, Science to Music [He can hold his own while singing] and literature.

After school is always work, handy with a wrench, and unafraid to have to wash out oil stains as well as a love for mechanical things; Akarui has managed to hash out a job as a mechanic. Cars, Trucks, Motorcycles all come under his 'knife' so to speak and leave running much better than when they came to him. One day he will earn enough to have himself a cycle to ride around.

It's hard not to get into trouble as a young adult. Tokyo abounded with ways to do it. Nothing ever too serious... except one time, he mostly got his kicks by trespassing and climbing onto buildings he shouldn't have been upon.

Flying. Hard to imagine an 18-year-old with his wings, let alone ones willing to sign off on a contract to be a warplane pilot, but it wasn't exactly something he hid from. Starting when he was still single digits he would often sneak into hangars just to sit in cockpits of planes until he was found and escorted out, to the annoyance of his Mother. When he was 12, he went to an airshow and managed to get a biplane up and into the air, and then land it perfectly. The owner decided not to press charges and instead took him under his tutelage.

Age 16, he flew with his mentor at the Royal International Air Tattoo in England. Weeks later he accompanied his mentor to the hospital, whose sudden passing made it hard to Akarui to stay out of trouble.

Just before coming to Rhy'din, he snuck onto the tarmac of Narita International, slip into a privately owned Leer Jet and begin the process of taxiing to take off. Stopped by Police and Airport Security, he managed to slip away before being caught. However, with no chance of returning home, he decided it best to flee where no one would look for him: to Rhy'din.
