<h3>Tournament Recap</h3>

On the evening of Sunday, March 19th, 2006, Ten duelists convened in the Arena to determine who would earn the right to bear the Talon of Redwin through the coming Spring. With a mix of paricipants both determined and skilled, there would need to be one duelist with the edge to bypass all others in order emerge victorious through four rounds of the tournement and be crowned the new Talon of Redwin.

In the first round, the first to be eliminated was Geffen, as Kelten pounded on him for eight solid rounds and taking his duel by the score of 5.5-1. That was shortly followed by Troy emerging victorious over Anjolie in a closer bout of 5-3, but in eight rounds. The remaining three duels were much longer and closer, with Artemus, whose brother is the only Talon to have been crowned twice, Sylus, coming from behind to eke out a 5-3 victory in thirteen rounds. The last two duels ended in the next round, fourteen, but there was no lack of action, as both went into Overtime. Kyra defeating Kelathe 6.5-5.5 and Rab defeating Elijah 7-5.5.

By virtue of being the first entry, Rab was then granted the bye in the second round, leaving Kelten to face Artemus, and Troy to face Kyra. Kyra got through her match quicker this round, dispatching Troy in a close duel 5-3.5 in ten rounds. That was followed by Artemus coming from a 3 point hole and then holding Kelten off the board the rest of the eleven rounds, winning 5-3. Kyra then received the bye as the next highest seed, earning a rest while Rab took his time against Artemus, coming from behind with Artemus at match point to secure a 6-4.5 win in thirteen hard fought rounds.

In the final duel, Kyra lept ahead of Rab in the first two rounds, gaining a 1.5 lead, but those points would be all she would manage against the carpenter as he controlled the remaining eight rounds, dispatching Kyra 5.5-1.5 in a total of ten rounds.
