~ * ~ News from the Rings of Honor: Challenge results, Upcoming Challenges and an Open Team Tournament!
*** As winner of the recent Warlord Tourney, Warlord Dustin Manjahcepery faced Overlord Cletus Ganderfald, 44th Overlord of the Duel of Swords, Tuesday, June 19th with HOST PCG Var Officiating. Official Medici~Giovanni reported that after 12 well fought rounds that Cletus would go on to defend his title as the 44th Overlord defeating Dustin 6-5! Excellent dueling gentlemen!
*** Well, it appears Baron Llegron (Ramsus Tidewater), holder of the Sixth has been stripped of his title and the Council has elected Baron Cassius Maxim, Baron of the Tenth and former Baron of the Sixth, as their Champion to face Warlord Jacob Dandy! When last contacted the Baron and Warlord were still working
on the arrangements, but it looks like the challenge will either take place Sunday, June 24th or Tuesday, June 26th at 9PM. My bet is the latter, but keep a close eye on the ancient cork for the formal announcement!!
*** I sense another Tournament on the horizon! From the mouths of babes, actually Baron Maxim's mouth, came the following announcement:
~ Without much need to go into my reasons, I have decided to sponsor, in conjunction
with the officials of the Duel of Swords, a second edition of the Team Tournament implemented last year by Valentine Evermeadow. The tournament will be single-elimination, consist of 16 participants-8 teams of 2 participants each, and will be open to all ranks, from Commoner to Warlord. The rules shall be as the rules in Valentine's tournament were. ~
So sharpen those blades, sand down those staffs, hone your skills and find a partner!! As stated this tournament is open to all ranks, Commoner to Warlord, and will be a single elimination event held Monday, July 9th starting at 9PM by the Eastern shores. We look forward to a night of dueling, prizes, (woo hoo PRIZES!) and fun. Ever wonder what it feels like to be the Overlord or perhaps a Baron? Now's your chance to find out!!
