News: And that's the end of the cycle! As of now, all duelists' records are free of losses, subtracted from their wins, of course, and ties. All duelists below 1 WoL will be removed from the standings with the next update to allow them to restart from 0, and all duelists who haven't been around in way too long will also be removed.
Congratulations to Shadow, our newest Mage!
Vincent V.M. Smith prevailed over a AMT field of Mur Ollavan and Xanth Van Bokkelen to challenge Archmage Harris D'Artainian! The challenge did go all three duels, and each duelist put up a spectacular fight, but in the end, Vincent prevailed in order to become the first and only eight-time Archmage! Congratulations Vincent, and well reigned Harris! With Vincent's ascension to the Citadel, the Tower of Earth is now vacant! Keep an eye out for news on how its next Keeper will be found!
Towers corresponding to the elements of the new Keepers have been discovered! With this new discovery, the Towers of Light and Darkness are now permanent, and now challengeable! However, only those of Mage rank or above may challenge for them! These new Towers have been found to have some sort of relation to the Citadel of Stars, and these links will be investigated throughout these first two weeks of the cycle! Also, rules concerning the stripping of titles have been revised. A Keeper title will no longer be stripped should a Keeper's rank be below that required to challenge; the rank rule can instead be pseudo-enforced via challenges. Inactivity will still cause a Keeper to be stripped, though.
It's the end of the cycle, which means it's time to pass on the ring to its next holder! Rand wasn't quite as active this cycle, preventing a three-peat. Instead, Mur and his neophyte Rachael are at the top of the cycle rankings. Mur has actually decided to accept the Ring of Klytus for this cycle, despite that he won't really be able to do anything with it. Congratulations, Mur!
