Winter Cycle, Week 8

February 20th - February 26th

ANNOUNCEMENTS: There are no Opal challenges outstanding at this time. There were, however, two of them fought over the last week.

Blue was looking to mark and impressive 4th defense of the yellow rock when he met up with Hope last Friday. Hope had ideas of her own though and hit the rings looking just as strong as when she won the Diamond last cycle. Starting off with a block and counter in the first round and ending it with a flip that caught Blue's jab before he could pull back on it, Hope took the first bout 5-3. That was a nailbiter as compared to bout 2 though. Leading 4-0 after 6 rounds, it was only the trade of jabs in the 7th that got Blue on the board in this 5-1 slaughter. Hope walks away with MoonBeryl. For his part, Blue might have had an off night or maybe Hope was just that good on Friday, but either way I'd expect him back on the challenge scene pretty soon.

Too late to make the last news cycle, Apple issued notice she wanted a shot at an opal and seems to have picked ShadoWeaver due to Mel not having put up a defense just yet. The brawling took place on Tuesday and didn't do much to change Mel's defending status. Apple was in fine form and dispatched Mel with relative ease in this two bout affair. Victories of 5-2 and 5-3 sealed the win and claims her the black rock.

Other Notes: ( I ) = Inactive. No duels in the past 90 days. Get in the ring! ( NE ) = Not elligible to challenge. An inactive duelist must be active 30 days prior to being able to challange. Also, Emeralds may challenge but once per calendar month. Note this is tracked for all ranks, but only displayed on Emeralds. Standings Removal: Any duelist inactive for more than a year shall be removed from the standings. You may request re-instatement. Glass ranked duelists with 0 WoL are removed every other cycle or so.
